<p>we are planning to move to brisbane as ive got a job in south brisbane however we are looking at gold coast aswell. My daughter is 13 and does not want to leave at all she is very much into drama and dance so just wondered if you know any schools which have performing arts attached, your friend said your son was at a school which had performing arts</p>

<p>Wow that would be awesome if your sister comes here too! Did you know though that the visa rules for state sponsorship don't mean that they HAVE to stay there? Am sure Ian Harrop's will explain to your sis though! we used them and our friends are too. They are getting state sponsorship from Victoria coz he couldn't pass the ILETS test lol. He wants to come to Brisbane though and Ian Harrop has said it isn't a problem.</p>

<p>Our flights are with Cathay Pacific costing $2900 ea!?!?!?! so you have saved mega bucks! all of us depart on 17th Dec, Sean and I return 29th Dec but Callum is coming back on 5th Jan. I have exactly the same thoughts bout Christmas and thought it would be a bit naff just the 3 of us this year and with Carly still in the UK it seemed the right thing to do. Am really looking forward to it complete with the chaos and miserable conditions!!!!! Have got to take Ugg's back for my sis, carly and my nieces so hope I don't get questioned at customs lol! Think we will just buy each other a little gift coz of the flight costs - that is more than a pressie enough me thinks!</p>

<p>Are you staying in the UK for Christmas too?</p>

<p>My new job is just paper pushing in a real estate/rental agent office - the ones we currently rent through! just got chatting to her and she said they would have a vacancy soon, would I like the job, doesn't even want to see my cv/resume and I have spent bloody hours trying to make it suitable for aussie employers!! arghh!! still mustn't complain! not sure when I start yet but it's not a problem as got too much to do with moving again!</p>

<p>Yeah, think Carlys boyfriend is going to be a bit 'trying' but by the time they arrive we should be in our own house where there will be plenty of space to lose him!!!</p>

<p>Nah, you definately do not want to work over christmas! wait till the new year before you even start looking!</p>

<p>Good news about Carly (I hope, got the feeling Sean might not be keen on the BF returning lol) hope it all works out for her.</p>

<p>Who are you flying back with in Dec? How much did it cost (sorry am being nosy!)? Ours cost $1900 with Korean airlines, dont know if they're any good but they were the cheapest by $400 each. We go on Nov 20th, back in time for Christmas tho. I cant get my head round Christmas yet. Normally I've at least decided what the kids want and have started buying stuff by now but this year it all seems so.......wrong somehow. Mind you I am looking forward to 'proper' Christmas shopping in England, jam packed shopping centres, no car-parking spaces, rain, haha cant wait.</p>

<p>We're (my mom and me) are hoping my sister is going to start the visa ball rolling soon, she has emailed Harrops (who we used) and they have said they need to phone them up or go and see them to be able to advice properly. They arent a straight forward case as although his skills are on the sol list they are only worth 40 points which leaves them 5 points short for a family sponsored visa (what we have), they could come state sponsored to the NT though but not sure they'd really want that, otherwise its a provisional visa to rural qld where my mom lives. Would really like her her in nsw, but we arent classed as rural enough.</p>

<p>Whats your new job doing? I'm going to start looking after Christmas lol, well no point now as would have to take 4 weeks off in Nov and I dont wanna work over Christmas do I?</p>

<p>Wish callum a Happy Birthday, hope whatever he gets up to its nothing to bad! Cody is saving to go back to England for hers next July, she wants to go to Ibiza or somewhere like that. </p>

<p>Wow Spooky! was just thinking bout you when message came through, was gonna knock out an email to you in the hope you were up and running on the internet.</p>

<p>I guessed the house would be taking up a lot of your time but reckon it's going to be really lovely when finished. </p>

<p>Poor old Cody!! .... and you! am sure you are right, she must be under shed loads of stress at the mo, specially trying to do the dance/teacher training stuff at such a young age! will have all my fingers and toes crossed that she gets the hsc results she wants and she can chill out!</p>

<p>Must be bloody fantastic having Josh with you now. Toughest thing I have to deal with is not having Carly around but she is now ready to come - we are aiming for spring. Go Matilda reckon they can get her here on the last remaining rellie visa for that despite us not being here 2 years and her boyfriend Graham is coming too, most likely via a working holiday visa. Is Josh's job a stopgap till uni? or a career move? LOL and I am guessing here that if he is looking at Sunshine Coast uni he won't be living with you all the time?</p>

<p>We are moving into another rental next week, round the corner from our land. We are now using an independant builder who comes highly recommended (and we feel really comfortable with) and Sean will be doing the plumbing to keep costs down. Plans have only just been drawn up so still at early stages but he reckons it should be ready by Spring at the latest assuming not too much in the way of weather delays.</p>

<p>I have just (finally!!) been offered a job, part time but don't have start date yet. Not a problem as I am too busy sorting out move into other rental!!!</p>

<p>We are also going back to the UK for a visit over Christmas - short one 17 to 29 Dec, mainly coz Carly is still there (its her birthday on the 22nd Dec as well) and we thought it might not be such a great one with just the 3 of us, even if it is spent on the beach!!!</p>

<p>Callum will be 18 on Tues and is talking about hiring a unit in Surfers for a party!! He claims this can be done but I am seriously sceptical and pooping myself! His mates are sorting it apparently!?!?!?! - will just lie awake waiting for the knock at the door from the boys in blue or a bloody great damages bill?!?!!??!</p>

<p>Sorry not been in touch much, house is taking up lots of time, I'm just having a break from painting to have some brekkie lol been at it since 8am! Also cody's doing my head in with dance exams, hsc exams, rowing with her boyfriend and generally being a miserable little madam!</p>

<p>To be fair she is under a bit of stress which (hopefully) after this weekend (tap n modern exams on Sun) should ease a bit. We went to Canberra last Sun/Mon for her Ballet exam, just hsc now to worry about. She didnt get onto the RAD teacher training course (her age went against her we think) so shes now thinking of going to Uni (yay) to do a combined degree in Dance n education which is going to add more stress (and more shouting/moody/stroppy behaviour lol) for her to achieve a good hsc result.</p>

<p>Josh arrived though and has got a job as a clown lol, doing parties/functions/fairs/etc. Hes in qld this week visiting my mom and the Sunshine Coast Uni.</p>
