hiii!!!! guys would like to update you that I got my grant today .....hell of a wait that was ...people who are in the application stages would consider getting there flag state pcc"s done earlier as dibp is pretty strict on that issue and would be requiring pcc"s from all the ship flagstates .... special thanks to captain C , captain R and Jaideep .....!!!!!!

From the looks of it they have started issuing visas for july applicants with great speed ....I am sure the wait is not long now , before one of us is given the grants.....keeping my fingers crossed...

hey !!! i thick with the present timelines yours must be faster then the offshore ones ….i saw on the visa tracker some of the onshore ones have got in 20 days flat…best of luck!!!!!

With the present trend i dont see any of the visa applicants for august geting CO allotted before october …. i might be wrong on this …!!!! best of luck to everyone ...

HII !! friends i have submitted my application on 11 of august and pre loaded all my documents including the PCC and FORM-80 , got my medicals updated on the site on 23 ….now waiting for CO allocation or direct grant ...

Thanks kezzles , Yeah actually i need the magical 8"s to make the cut !!!!! quick question again ..is it okay to use your own reference in the essay , as i was of the notion that it would make the essay more of a discussion …. i thought the essay is more like an academic thingy where you give examples of things you have read , can you make it like a discussion where you just put in real things what you actually went through …!!!!!…i avoided using my own experiences as i thought the entire essay would become too informal …guess thats were i lost the edge on the grades …. Also like you said the intro of the essay can start with the main objective of the write up, that will follow …so that means your views wether it is for or against the topic would have to be stated in the intro itself , followed by the rephrasing in the conclusion …. i am actually confused about the intro…!!!!!!….say for ex if the essay is about adv and disadv …and if i am with the adv so i start off saying that my view is xxxxx and then start the next para explaining it ….nd then the cons …obvio…ending it with a conclusion..later on ..!!!! thanks for answering to my queries…!!!!

hii kezzles , just saw your scores , they are really good , i have just done my ielts got he following L-9,R-8.5,W-7,S-8 i seem to be doing not so good in writing , i am not a native speaker like yourself , i did make a few spelling errors , but could you give me some pointers as to how you went about the writing part specially the essay….thanks a ton

There i have just finished with my assesment for qualification from amsa , and am done with my ielts , would appreciate if someone could guide me about the orals that have to be done , i am holding class-1 chief eng license from uk , and am sailing as chief engineer presently !!!!!!! Any engineers who have already gone through the process , kindly share the questions generally asked for cor of oz….and which oral centre would be best to book orals in ???

him captain r …read your posts ..they are extremely informative…i am myself in the process for applying for a pr and just got my assessment …i am from engine side and sailing as chief engineer with certificate of competency from uk …needed some info about what they usually ask for cor of australia….also needed info as to whether we have to get our employment letters verified by amsa before submitting in eoi , as i thought the contract letters from shipping companies should be enough . will need your guidance n this …thanks again ...
