  1. Hi, we lived in cotton tree and my 11 year old son went to maroochydore primary school, he loved it from the first day, we had to move on due to the poor job market up there, so my advice would be to make sure you secure work first, good luck you'll love it Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  2. Hi Nina and family, we've been over in maroochydore for 5 weeks now so also very new, also a family of 5, me, Emma, hubby, Dave and 3 boys eldest 20, then 18, youngest is 11, I'm still using the sat nav have tried without it but just get lost, we will have to arrange a meet up at some point,
  3. Brightwaters not to far from us, you'll love it, it's just gorgeous
  4. Hi Neil we moved to Alexandra headland from Yorkshire a month ago, family of 5 hubby, myself and 3 boys we are loving it here it's amazing, I got a job straight away nursing my husband has just received his white card so hopefully will start working soon, not that I think he wants to as he seems to be enjoying the beach with the boys[emoji12] my eldest 2 are 20 and 18 there seems to be a lot of hospitality jobs around this area, let us know if you need any info and we'll do our best to help, our youngest is 11 and has just started maroochydore primary it was fairly straight forward getting him enrolled good luck with the move guys
  5. Sorry blossom79 just realised this was a question for richardcoull lol
  6. He hasn't been working, we are still in UK waiting for him to finish his course, we are on a state sponsored 190 visa
  7. My son is also 19 but he is in full time education, the college gave us a copy of my sons timetable and we just gave that as evidence
  8. When I submitted my application for state sponsorship (QLD) they asked for me to send a letter telling them a little about us and the reasons we had chosen Australia(QLD) as a place to live. Not a personal statement as such more of a family statement lol
  9. When I did mine I told them about our jobs, what the kids where doing at college, why we had chosen australia as a place to settle, I was advised to show a little knowledge about the area we had chosen to settle in so I wrote a little about schools and colleges we had had researched hope this helps, ours was only a page long, good luck with the process it feels like your waiting forever but it only took 12 weeks from EOI to grant[emoji1]
