Hi OziBoy, actually in the process they asked for the certified copy of all docs in general. i'm not sure whether all of documents need to be certified or not. here in different thread, people mentioned that they uploaded only colored scan copy. So if u wish, u can go for that. first upload colored scan copy of assessment letter and if Case Officer asked for certified copy then provide later. in my case, I sent both colored scan copy and certified copy of true original of all docs.

Hi, if your partner is still working in same occupation then in my opinion extended skill assessment should be enough. Better, you can ask ACS for clarification or go through the skill migration booklet whether there is any instruction or not regarding this....

Hello Froggles, actually its depends on state. Whenever State approves ur application for state sponsorship, then u'll receive 190-VISA invitation through skill select. for 190 visa, its not related to the date mentioned in DIBP site.

Dear Forum Mates, After going through a long journey of 190 visa (IELTS, skill assessment, State Nomination, DIAC Visa confirmation...) now its time to say “Welcome Sydney”!!!:biggrin: Actually Me and my husband is planning to make our first entry but we can’t decide where to stay..we don’t have any close relative there and we don’t want to give trouble to friends/colleagues and distant relatives. So I badly need your advise/suggestions…. •Budget is around $100/per night for Hotel. Is it possible to get decent, good Hotels at Sydney CBD in this range?? searched in google maps but didn’t find anything (may be I would have to search more). Or is it possible to stay for 8-10 days like a paying guest anywhere near Sydney CBD/central. Please suggest any specific areas which is suitable for us for accommodation as well as for city trip!!

i think so :-) actually i don't know anything details about the external security check...at the end of August, CO told me that my case is under security check and will inform me later about the progress...after that didn't heard anything from her...tried to call but no response... and finally received grant letter on 11th....:smile:

Same with me....i've tried several time in BK's number and DIAC call center number...but never succeeded....:cry: every time IVR response continues till 10-15 mins, then i disconnected the call...no wish to be charged more for overseas call ;-)
