  1. Hi Andyvrs,

i hope you are doing well.  My name is Dean and I am a Gas safe registered heating engineer, I am just about to apply for the TRA skills assessment and to be honest it all seems like there's more to it than I first thought!

Would you mind if I picked your brain as I've read a post where you have said you were successful with yours?

    thanks

    Dean

  2. I'm using immigration2oz and they have been superb so far.
  3. Good luck, i'm sure you will pass it no problem.
  4. Hi I sat the IELTS in December, I also needed 20 points . I never had a chance to study due to work commitments but I found it to be easier than most make out. My results were - Listening- 9 Reading- 8.5 Writing- 8.5 Speaking- 8. If English is your partners first language then he should be able to get the 20 points no problem with a bit of studying. Good luck!
  5. if he resits his ielts and gets 8 across the board he will get 20 points. Its not hard to do.

    Ielts

Hi, I sat the general IELTS test without any study time. I found it pretty easy, you just have to manage your time well to get the points you need. My results were Listening-9 Reading-8.5 Writing-8.5 and Speaking-8. Even with Dyslexia if you study I'm sure you will get the result you need.

    Immi2oz

Hi, I actually started it a couple of years ago but got married in between so that added about 1.5 years onto the application.

I'm using them and they are superb. Really cannot be more helpful.
  11. Hey, currently going through my 189PR skilled visa application. I sat my IELTS on 03/12/16. To get the 20 points I need for my visa application I had to get an 8 on all subjects. I sat the test having no time to study due to work commitments, but my results were, Listening-9 Reading-8.5 Writing-7.5 and Speaking-8. I was gutted I missed out on the writing by half a mark, so I appealed at a cost of £60. The wait was nerve wracking but I got my results today and my final award is.. Listening-9 Reading-8.5 Writing-8.5 and Speaking-8 and as a bonus I get the £60 back! So if anyone misses out on the writing or speaking with half a mark APPEAL it! To say I'm happy is an understatement!!
  12. Thanks Richard, fingers crossed as I really don't want to sit it again
