Hi Flake, Would you be able to answer couple of my questions? How long will it take to cancel the 457 visa? and secondly can we submit the application to IMMI before departing from OZ?

Hi Flake, After a long search I was ended up reading your post and thought you could perhaps give me some information about 457 cancellation. Would you be able to advise me the procedure for canceling the visa? Information like can we submit the relevant forms before we leave OZ? and most important part of my question how long will it take to cancel the visa once we submit the form at Immigration office. Appreciate your time and answers.

I'm on 457 and heading offshore soon (currently in australia). Do you know is there any definite time line for any applicant to stay out of Australia to be considered as an offshore applicant?? Thanks and appreciate your help.

Thank you for your suggestion. Preparing for IELTS but not sure what to do if they require a job offer in my case as I'm onshore. Getting a 457 sponsor is not easy.Please advise what would be the best possible solution in case I'm not having a sponsor in the state that I'm applying to migrate?

Hi, Age:- 25 Points Offshore experience:- 15 Points Education:- 10 Points IELTS (6) - 0 Points. I'm currently working in NSW on 457 and would like to apply for 489 in either WA or SA. As I'm already holding a visa do I need a Job offer for regional sponsor visa? As July 1st is just a week away I would like to apply if I'm eligible. Thanks for your help. Much Appreciated.

Hi, I'm also preparing to do my skills assessment as an Electrical Engineering Draftsperson. Would it be possible for you to give me some inputs for my CDR? I'm having 10 + yrs of experience and is 3 career episodes are good enough or do I need to submit more than that? Thanks in advance.

Hi there, I've got few questions about the IELTS and CDR too and your advise is more valuble and thanks heaps in advance. In breif I'm standing with a score of 6.5 overall in IELTS (with a min of 6 in each segment) and planning to apply for state migration. My q's are: * Presumably the current score allows me to get my skills assessed and once I submit my cdr then I can reappear to get a better score as the skills assessment may take 4 to 6 weeks. * What will happen if I couldn't get a better score? Do I have an option to proceed further with this score? P.S: I’m looking all the state migration websites and it looks like in case of less than 7 score chances are bleak. * I'm applying under "Elecrtical Engineer Draftsperson" and if anyone has a CDR that closely match with mine, I'm here by requesting you please help me by providing a copy of yours.
