I couldn't bf ds1, he wouldn't latch on and support was dreadful, he was also lactose intolerant and had special powder. Ds2 took to bfing very well but was painful to begin with and bf till 12mths, he chose to stop and now ds3 is bfing and had tongue tie to the tip of his tongue but thankfully still managed to feed, had his tie cut at 2wks. I do believe that breast is best for us but it is down to individuals, also you are not told about cluster feeds which can be tiring and some people down understand it and give up bfing. I also say it's cause I'm lazy as I don't have to wash things up and worry about how many spoonfuls of powder I have put into the bottle when I'm tired. I'm the only one out of my family and friend that bf but they think I'm strange as ds3 uses cloth nappies and we use slings and soft structured carriers to carry him in lol.
