Hi Bob, The vaccination was 02/02/13 and blood test was 05/03/13. I am just waiting for the paperwork from Val to be sent but this worried me. I want her to come after 03/02/14 with the new rules. Hopefully all will be OK. Please let me know if you think this may be an issue. Thanks for your help .

I'm now ready to import my cat to Melbourne, however I'm confused with some of the procedures. I have been in contact with petair, however its difficult to correspond with the time difference. My cat had her rabies injection on 2/2/13 and I was looking at getting her on a flight after this date. Will I need another rabies injection and if so, will she need to be retested? If she does it might be worth bringing her sooner and spending longer in Quarantine as Iwant her here a.s.a.p. Can you help Bob ? Thanks

Thanks for your response. however I fly over in August and the cat is following about a month after. The problem I have is that my mum and dad are elderly and their cats roam the streets and bring fleas in as soon as their rid of. I will try my hardest to get rid of them and she is treated each month and has been since birth. She has never had them before but its since she has moved to my parents with the other cats, being outdoor cats and playing with all the cats in the neighbourhood it is impossible to keep them away from her. If she was to still have fleas when her flight day came, would she still be able to fly ? or would she need to be 100% clear ? If it came to it and she couldn't fly, it would be difficult for me to arrange in Oz . If she will be unable to fly , I may need to arrange for her to stay in a flea free home for now with no other cats. that way I will be able to get rid of them now and there won't be a problem, but she is a very nervous cat and this will stress her out .

Hello, can anybody please help me as I am really worried that I will not be able to ship my cat to Oz when needed. My cat has recently moved in with my mother who has 2 cats that like to roam the streets. there are also a couple of neighbours cats that are in and chased out. My problem is that my cat now has fleas because of this. All 3 cats are regularly flead with frontline and the fleas do seem to be dying but it is never ending. When it comes to shipping my little cat is it a problem if she has fleas? will she be able to fly and go in quarantine or will i need to remove her from the house now to control the problem ? My concern is that I wont be able to get rid of them before she is due to fly. Please Help

you will be fine, a lot of people worry about this but most get approved straight away. good luck
