  1. Yep, mention exact dates on your letter to the day - there pretty funny about things like that. Mine was for 263111
  2. Hi there, Yes, I must agree with everyone - a very good post indeed. My family (me, wife and 2 girls) make the final move in May 2014 and we currently have everything in place like flights, temp accommodation, area we want to live and chose the ideal school for the kids during our June 13 recci. We will be emigrating without me having a job lined up, so this is my main concern as don't want to use all our savings. I'm in the IT industry to, 15 years as Systems/Network Engineer and for the past 3 years I've been working in design/pre-sales/solutions architect role. I have heard many stories and read many threads about engineering jobs being in short supply. I do however check Seek every day and encouragingly there is lots of roles advertised for what I'm currently doing now. I did apply for a few roles in Dec 13 and the feedback received was I'm UK based with no emigration plan, plus employers wanted me in the country for interviews which I obviously couldn't commit to. I too would be very interested to know what IT field you are in if you don't mind sharing this, and if you have any tips/advice for when I arrive in Melbourne when start the job hunting, that would be great. Thanks, Paul
  3. To be safe, I would detail you duties as this is what is asked for.
  4. Hi, I thought I would put a quick update on this thread as I haven't logged onto the forum since Visa Grant. ACS are very specific in their requirements so for the reference you need to detail exact dates (to the day) for employment length, full/part time employment and detail your job duties. I did this in about 8 bullet points, I actually wrote it myself and got my manager to sign at the end. IELTS can be done after the ACS assessment, that's what I did. Certified docs - Personally I took all my documents to local solicitors, they certified about 30 docs for £10 and they were happy to recertify additional docs for DIAC application FOC. Good luck with everything, it's a long and painful process but very rewarding at the end of it. I fly out Oz for recci in April, with the intention of fully relocating middle of 2014.
  5. Hi Kemi, Plan is to get to Melbourne as soon as I can. I have already started applying for jobs, had some positive feedback on my CV and I have a mate out in Oz who has his own IT recruitment company so I'm hopeful of finding something this year/beginning of next, with wife and kids to follow a couple months after when I have sorted the home out. We know where we want to live, found the kids school so just up to me now to get a job.
  6. It's been a long time coming for me this, but I got my Visa Grant today!!!!! I might actually be able to get a full night's sleep tonight. Good luck to everyone still waiting for their Meds and Grants.
  7. Finally....... I have my OH's meds finalised. 8 weeks of painful waiting, so glad to have it done with.
  8. Still nothing from my side I'm afraid, driving me absolutely insane. Even rang panel doctor again to make sure nothing wrong with OH and they said nothing to worry about. As soon as I hear anything, I will update the thread. Here's to another sleepless night......
  9. Congrats to everyone getting the meds finalised and visa's granted. I just hope GH haven't forgot about people still waiting in July cause I am getting sick and tired of waiting now. You ring GH and they tell you nothing, except to contact your CO and I email CO and they just ignore your email - so frustrating. Has anyone else been in in this similar situation where people who were referred the same day or after you getting finalised, and you just sitting there waiting? There is nothing wrong with my OH at all which the panel doctor confirmed and she has no historical illnesses.
  10. Hi, No news for me from GH as well, 6 weeks and waiting now. I wouldn't believe too much re GH timelines as they seem to tell people different things which can get annoying if you're waiting. I have given up calling GH now and I'm just sitting tight waiting for the meds to get finalised. My daughter was finalised last Monday 3rd Sept (referred 26/07), so just hoping my OH (referred 30/07) gets done this week at some point.
  11. Hi there, I'm right with you both on this, my OH was referred on the 30/07 and we have been told the same cock and bull story that it would be looked at this week. On a plus for us, my daughter was finalised 03/09 (referred 26/07) and a few posts I have read say GH are processing referrals from last week in July, so my thinking is all our meds should be looked at this week. I share your pain though, it's just a nightmare not knowing what's happening. Let me know how you both get on?
  12. I had my daughters meds finalised this morning (referred 26/07/12), so I'm just waiting on my OH now who was referred on 30/07/12. I'm really hoping I am getting near to the visa grant now, fingers crossed for developments this week.
  13. I had my daughters meds finalised this morning (referred 26/07/12), so I'm just waiting on my OH now who was referred on 30/07/12.
  14. my daughters and OH's meds were referred 26/07/12 and 30/07/12 respectively - can you update the spreadsheet please.
  15. Might be worth you looking at the following thread: http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/157361-medicals-refered-more-than-30-days-ets-connect-new-post.html Loads of people in the same boat and there's a nice spreadsheet which will give you a better idea on timelines. There is also contact details as well where you can ring Global Health and get an update your self. Good luck
