  1. Most jobs like accounting are advertised on seek. Its purely due to the nature of the job. However saying that stats show that 70 percent of jobs are not advertised. Try cold calling through the yellow pages. Bet there is a job there which they have not got around to advertising.
  2. Sorry that's what I have. 50 a month for basic package and sport. I just wanted sport but apparently that's not possible
  3. I have foxtel go on my computer so I just stream most of it through my TV. I am in waramanga. I would love to meet up for some football. Defo CL final.
  4. I meant move anywhere in Australia. That's interesting news. Thanks
  5. Thanks for the answers guys. That's cleared a few questions up. So am I understanding this right that our 2 years in canberra is only tied to a moral agreement and not a contractual? So I can really move anywhere in the act and Don't have to wait 2 years?
  6. My visa has a date of 2018 at which point I need to get citizenship.
  7. I think I have confused myself. After 2 years my restrictions on which state I can live in are removed. As far as I am concerned I am pr as I have been accepted into pr positions and my visa is permanent. I have just worded my initial comment wrong. On a 190 state sponsored is my obligation a moral one or a contractual one.
  8. We got ours 6 months ago and we got it in almost a month. That's was for the act though.
  9. Thanks Blossom I am on a 190 state sponsored visa. I thought i did have a PR actually. Is a 190 permanent and is my obligation to the ACT just moral?
  10. I know this is a bit of an odd question. We have moved to canberra ACT on a state sponsored visa for my partners career. We love the ACT and both have good jobs and have been here 8 months however i have a possible employment option in WA which is a little hard to turn down. I know i am supposed to stay in the ACT for 2 years as part of my visa but this job opportunity is hard to turn down. I absolutely love the ACT and had no intentions of moving away but i suppose the road in front of us can change and sometimes quickly. What would happen if i left the ACT and would the government/ACT know if i moved to WA for my remaining 16 month of my state sponsorship? After that i can get my PR and its happy days
  11. We used serviced apartments in the city. But a good place to look is gumtree for short term lets. I am on the south side because i love it down here but i love some parts of belconnen as long as its not near the students.
  12. If in future people have problems with jobs i might be able to help a little as i work in employment (not recruitment) and i have an idea of some vacancies around the ACT
  13. I am a bolton fan but i love watching the EPL (seeing as we are struggling in the championship). I am well up for watching football in a pub over a beer. I heard some scousers own a pub in kingston.
  14. I nearly went private and got sprintman to do a vehicle check but i found a nearly new Holden - Cruze CDX at a dealer and its almost immaculate. If i was buying private i would defo get a check done and also pay $30 dollars for a check to see if its been in a crash/stolen/HPI.
  15. I was thinking about this the other day as another pom suggested looking for a bulk bill doctor. After reading this post and doing some research i think i will go for a co-contribution now. I got peed off in the UK with seeing below standard international doctors who dont have time of energy to correctly diagnose you and find the solution to your problem. I dont want that. I dont want to my doctor missing sometimes because he doesn't have a jar of glue. $50 dollars is peanuts in the grand scheme of things. A family of 4 can probably run up $50 in MacDonald and lets be honest, what's more important?
