Hi, I have had great news that my company want to sponsor me with a 457 visa however i am having a little trouble trying to sort everything out. I am not sure if i am required to take a skill assessment for the 457 visa. I am a fully qualified motor mechanic. If anyone has gone through the 457 visa process any tips would be great as i don't want to mess up the paper work. Thanks James

Hi, My name is james, 22 years old. I am currently in Cairns hoping to complete my regional work to gain my 2nd year visa. At the moment i am finding it very hard to find any of this work be it farm work, trawling boats or fruit picking. Hey, I have finally got round to sorting everything out and booked my flight!!! I arrive in Sydney on 24th November 2012. Does anyone have any advice about finding work!! I am a Honda Master Technician however would prefer to work part time or casual work. How easy is it to find work out there, panicking slightly . Im 22 years old with a huge interest in surfing. Any advice would be great about job agencies etc. Thanks James

Yoo, Just came across this site which looks pretty interesting. Im a mechanic working for Honda and looking to move to Oz next year after spending summer in Perth 2 years ago. Hopefully going to try for a sponsorship. Anyone else a mechanic in the same boat as me or has any advice on looking for a sponsorship. Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks James
