  1. Hi all, Great news for us. 2. Hi jbb, Well done on the CO. Read my first post on how to fill out the form. The only thing I will add is to enclose a copy of your proof of payment and ensure that the photocopy of your passport is very clear. DIAC dont need to fill out any of the form for you, you just do part 1 and score out part 2 as described and enclose a copy of the request for the PCC information that you got from your CO. Any problems with the translation just copy words from the form into Google translate thats what I did. As for certificates coming through, my wifes has been sent, although I'm still to get it and mine is being processed. If you need to speak with COVOG use this number +31 703 707 234 and choose option 1 and option 1. Best of luck.
  3. Hi jbb, Timeline so far: Submitted Subclass 187 Visa Application via agent in Perth (Nomination was previously lodged and approved): 7 September 2012 Acknowledgement letter received: 18 September 2012 Case officer assigned: 10 October 2012 Medicals requested: 10 October 2012 Police clearance certificates requested for the Nederlands: 11 October 2012 Medicals completed: 19 October 2012 Awaiting police clearance certificates from the Nederlands: Thanks Stelol1
  4. Hi jbb, I have not yet received my certificates, its only been 1 week, but I hope it will arrive soon. I assume you can apply for it before the case officer asks for it, you would need to state in your application that it is for immigration but before its been asked for. I contacted the Dutch embassy in London for advice before I submitted mine. You can get their number and email address from their website, they are very helpful. Good luck
  5. Hi Jaskiratsingh, My application was lodged decision ready and is submitted for a diesel mechanic. thanks
  6. Hi all, Here is my timeline so far, applying for Perth post 1 July 2012. Hope it helps. Submitted Subclass 187 Visa Application via agent (Nomination was previously lodged and approved): 7 September 2012 Acknowledgement letter: 18 September 2012 Medicals requested: 10 October 2012 Case officer assigned: 10 October 2012 Additional documents requested: 11 October 2012 Thanks Stelol1
  7. Hi, I am currently going through this process. A note on filling out the form: You are only required to fill out part 1, score through part 2 and write something like this information has been requested by my migration agent for immigration purposes and write their name, then attach a copy of the email of the request for a Dutch police check. Also attach a copy of the identification page from your passport. Do an international bank transfer to the account listed above and put your name and passport number as your reference. It should take 1.5-2 weeks for migration purposes. Good luck. Stelol1
  8. Hi, Ive just done my skills assessment through TRA for a diesel mechanic. Im applying for a 187 visa but still had to apply for a TRA through the 457 route. My assessment was done through Victoria University, search their site it will give you plenty of information. Im using an agent so cant give you specific info, i just do what im told!!! Good luck
  9. Thanks Bobj, I actually meant inside/personal information as opposed to company website etc. I should have been more clear. Steve
  10. Hi All, Has anyone heard of Lube mobile, used them or know anyone that has worked for them? I have the opportunity to work for them but cant find too much information. Any information would be great. Many thanks Steve
  11. Hi all, We are looking to rent/buy in or around the Joondalup, ocean reef, Quinns rocks area, basically anywhere north of Duncraig, no real preference. Where we eventually end up will be in a good secondary school catchment area, but would like some local knowledge to help us make plans. Can anyone please offer any advice on good state secondary schools around this area of Perth????? I really appreciate your help. Many thanks Steve & Laura
  12. Thanks all for your input, I will look into state sponsorship and 457 sponsorship and see where it takes me. Thanks again.
  13. Thanks for your comments, probably should have explained my situation better. I would have no problem with the skills assessment and also have enough work experience. The agent that I spoke to was advertising jobs for mechanics and has a job lined up for me, the company in question also pays the cost of the application etc. I would not move without a job to move into as I dont want to put my family through uncertainty on the work front. If we moved on a 457 then applied for residency would it then be possible to get into education as a permanent resident of Oz? Or would a college etc. take over my sponsorship. Finding it really difficult to get job offers when not in the country, understandable really. Thanks again.
  14. Hi all, new to this. I am currently working as a lecturer in vehicle mechanics and am thinking about emmigrating with my wife and two young boys. I have spoken to an agent that says I could get a sponsored 457 visa but working as a mechanic when I arrive, I would have to work upto 10 hours overtime per week (total 48 hours) to afford to live comfotably in Perth-Quinns Rock area? Should I use this as a stepping stone to get into Australia then try and find work as a lecturer? Would I have a chance of success finding work in vocational education? Any thoughts welcome.
