Hello, my hubby is negotiating a job in Southport on the Gold Coast and we are looking to be there around Xmas. I realise the schools will close for Xmas and not open till the end of Jan for new school year . So was panicking ... I would like any recommendations for private or state schools in this area for a 5 ,6 and 8 year old . Also as I will probably be arriving when the schools are closed for holidays does anyone have experience of trying to find schools at the beginning of a school year? Thanks for any help/ advice x jodie

Hi, I have booked our reccie for three weeks fromt he 24th May -We have got great deals on flights with singapore airlines £3660 for two adults and three children. We have also saved money by arranging a home exchange with www.homeexchange.com and also as swopping cars we dont have to pay to hire a car saving us lots of $$$! So other than flights its just spending money ... Before we had arranged the home exchange I had looked into staying in Ashmore Palms or Brisbane Holiday villiage as they have great offers with weekends free and free child places etc . Good Luck

Hi, this happened to me as I have always been called a different forename to my birth certificate - back in the day when passport applications were not as strict a covering letter allowed me to add my known name. Therefore when I came to apply my birth certificate didnt match my passport both in forename and surname as I had also got married! All I needed to to for my visa application was to change by depol in two steps 1. change forename 2. change surname - all done and back within 3 days - certified and sent to case officer - no worries ;0)

Hi All, I have everything MET since 23rd Sep including Medicals and Police Checks except AFP which I send off Aug 24th- I email them yesterday and they confirmed all complete and sent to my agent on the 7th Sep - it only has to get from Canberra to Perth?! But is has not yet arrived so Agent cannot sent to CO...............urgh! I know its the last thing and we should be set to go but I am worried if lost in the post - I will have to do AFP again ?! Anyways good luck to all - hope Cat 4 is still moving . All the best Jodie.x

Hi , Meds were completed on the 2nd Sep, Police Cert completed on the 1st Sep - just waiting for AFP Cert and then fingers crossed the GRANT. I cant believe its all happening. Good Luck to all in Cat 4 for CO's and GRANTS ASAP!! Jodie ;0)
