  1. I am sure the case is going no where. Move on with your life, let it go......don't drag it too long. You guys just have to accept it and face the reality. It is done and dusted..........
  2. Good luck, be interesting to see the outcome (should the challenge go head)..... Any idea when the first hearing will take place?

  7. You got a CO....congrats! That CO might have sent you an email for details that are requested.
  8. I am afraid you do need one. The document check list in the citizenship website clearly indicate that : ........You will need to provide original penal clearance certificates from overseas countries if, since the grant of your permanent Australian visa: you lived or travelled overseas since the age of 18 years or over, and the total time spent overseas added up to 12 months or more, and the time spent in any one country was more than 90 days, or you are requested to do so by the department.
  9. According to the citizenship website, As an Australian citizen you must always leave and enter Australia on an Australian passport. If you also have a passport from another country you can use that for travel once you have left Australia. People trying to enter Australia as an Australian citizen but without an Australian passport face difficulties and delays. The Australian Passport Office provides more information. If you also have a passport from another country you should always use your Australian passport when leaving and entering Australia., " http://www.citizenship.gov.au/current/travel/
  10. According to the DIBP website: http://www.immi.gov.au/FAQs/Pages/who-can-translate-my-documents-into-english-for-me.aspx Who can translate my documents into English for me? Any document in a language other than English must be accompanied by a certified English translation. A translator in Australia must be accredited by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters. A translator outside Australia does not need to be accredited, but they must endorse the translation with their full name, address, telephone number, and details of their qualifications and experience in the language being translated.
  11. Congrats, usually within 24 hours your application will be approved. The ceremony will take between 3 to 6 months....depending on you local council
  12. No test type of questions are asked at the interview. Just checking your supporting documents/ID. Once they satisfied, they will then ask you to sit for the test.
  13. He mentioned one thing, .....The “original mission of 1945 to build the population base” has been accomplished. See the full story below, http://theconversation.com/tracing-the-far-reaching-changes-in-immigration-and-border-protection-36427
  14. They are busy with the merger, and it will be interesting to see how it will affect the processing. ......"insiders expect the casualties to be heaviest at Immigration as part of what is being called the "Customisation" of the department and a "reverse takeover" by the smaller Customs agency". http://www.theage.com.au/national/public-service/immigration-bosses-to-be-purged-within-weeks-20150119-12tb9z.html
  15. You don't have to provide an evidence if conscription is not exist in your country, but if you have served in the army before that will be another story then. I submitted my exemption certificate as they know that conscription is exist in Singapore.
