  1. Received our invite to the City of Rockingham’s Citizenship Ceremony! 3 March is the day. Can’t believe that after over 12 years since I first arrived here I’ll be a Citizen. My husband did his test 13th Nov, and is also included as we linked our applications Citizenship App: 25 August 2020 Test Invitation: 27 October 20 Test Date: Original 9 December rescheduled 30 October Approval: 30 October Ceremony: 3 March 2021 Council: Rockingham, WA
  2. City of Rockingham are having approximately 80 conferees per ceremony due to Covid restrictions. They have 251 over three ceremonies including Australia Day and 2 in early February. Invites for Australia Day went out on November 25th and they e-mailed me to let me know we weren’t on the list for Feb. There are 2 dates in March so have fingers crossed for one of those!
  3. @tt2 last year the City of Kwinana held their ceremony at the Adventure Park with just over 70 conferees so if they do the same in 2021the outdoor venue should allow for them to clear a large number. I was actually going to ask Mayor Carol Adams about Kwinana’s ceremonies at a recent work meeting but forgot! I’ll be checking for Rockingham’s ceremony next week to see how many they have there.
  4. Posted on another discussion forum - this is for those of you in WA. Would interesting to find out how many people different councils get through per ceremony.
  5. Just an update, took my test passed 100%. I arrived for my appointment 20 mins beforehand and was called in within 5 minutes. The only thing that was checked was my driver’s licence. Interview and test done in 15 minutes and my approval appeared in my immiaccount pretty much straight away! My husband has his interview and test in two weeks. I did ask about ceremonies and the officer said that most councils are preparing for Australia Day Ceremonies and we may be in time for an invite to that one. City of Rockingham have published all dates for 2021, they have 2 all February as well as Australia Day so will wait and see but hopeful to get an invite to one of the three. Citizenship App: 25 August 2020 Test Invitation: 27 October 20 Test Date: Original 9 December rescheduled 30 October Approval: 30 October Ceremony: TBA Council: Rockingham, WA
  6. Awesome news, I have managed to reschedule my test for 30/10. How thorough were they in checking documents? I have everything but have heard some officers just check passports.
  7. Turns out my husband has his invite too. Citizenship App: 30 August 2020 Test Invitation: 27 October Test Date: 10 December Approval: Ceremony: Council: Rockingham, WA
  8. Received my invite today, 9 weeks after I applied, rescheduled to earliest available date. Husband still waiting but his application was submitted a few days later. My app includes both of our kids. Citizenship App: 25 August 2020 Test Invitation: 27 October 20 Test Date: Original 9 December rescheduled 3 December Approval: Ceremony: Council: Rockingham, WA
  9. That’s great to read, I applied August so looks like they are getting through them in Perth. When’s his test date?
  10. I know what you mean! I definitely can't get on though, tried on my laptop and phone. Now getting a 'system unavailable message'.
  11. It's down again folks..... Proxy Error The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server. The proxy server could not handle the request GET /skilledmigration. Reason: Error reading from remote server
  12. I've heard from a federal Mp's office in WA that DIAC are working through the all of the SMPs but they are all at different stages so it seems that they may be released at different times.
  13. Make sure you have all of your qualification certificates and university transcripts! They are quite particular about the information that needs to be on there. If you plan to work in a state school you will also need to register with the Department of Education to get an employee number. I've worked at a school since May having been sent to do a day of relief there through Class Professionals and I think Randstad are also coming to Perth (used to be Select Education) so might be worth checking out their website. If you don't want to go through an agency, it's a case of e-mailing your CV to the schools that you want to work at as many have their own list of relief teachers that they contact first before going to an agency.
