  1. any bakers waiting to be invited by NSW for SS here?? or probably bakers who have been granted with a 190 visa? please share your timeline and points please.. as for me, I am a baker with 60+5 points, submitted my EOI on 7th August 2015. Cheers
  2. @que sera: i hope so, as much as i'd love to migrate to australia, i wouldn't risk the current condition until i got my visa. thanks for answering, and fingers crossed they won't call the employer
  3. @que sera: you are right, what i do not want is that if my application will affect the probability of being promoted, salary increase, etc. since i would still need to work there at least until my visa is granted.
  4. @supercow: you are right, i guess i am gonna have to be ready then. @Cubiscus: i haven't even been invited to apply but expecting within a month or so, and right now i am preparing all of the docs to reduce the processing time. thanks for the info btw, i hope they won't ask for form 80 and won't call my employer
  5. Hi, Could anyone help me with the question please..in the case where I am not claiming points from work experience in EOI, would DIBP still call my employer for security check purpose if I gave out the detail of my work experiences in the form 80? I am trying to avoid for DIBP to call my current employer since it will put my job at risk.. Thanks to whoever answering!
  6. hi all, i am currently offshore and just curious, if i don't claim points from my work experience and being requested to fill form 80, will DIBP then call my employer to do background/security check? i wouldn't want them to do that as it will risk my job if my boss knows about my plan to migrate. thanks
  7. Hi, I applied for TRA MSA (Migration Skills Assessment) back in April and received my acknowledgement letter on 6th May, but still haven't heard anything from TRA although it is already 63 working days now. Anyone experiencing similar situation? Thanks, Al
  8. Hi strikker, Just curious, which pathway did you take for the TRA? was it TRA MSA? and when did you receive your acknowledgement letter? I received the acknowledgement letter on 6th May but still haven't heard anything yet,, Thanks Al
  9. Hi, I am intending to apply for SS with Baker as my nominated occupation and have worked as a Baker for the last 4 years or so, however I noticed that I couldn't claim points from it since the breakdown is as follow: - 8 months Australian work experience as Baker before receiving related certificate III qualification. - 10 months Australian work experience as Baker after receiving related certificate III qualification. - 2 years and 10 months overseas work experience as Baker after receiving related certificate III qualification. Now I am aware that to claim the points from the experience, it needs to be AFTER I received the qualification (unless the assessing body recognizes the prior). Therefore I am unable to claim any points either from my Australian or overseas working experience (the latter one because it is less than 3 years). The problem is, when I try to fill the EOI, it asks for my employment history and automatically counts the Australian experience as 1 year and give me extra 5 points which means I will be overclaiming the points. Now I am confused.. Should I fill it anyway or just leave the employment history empty? If I leave it empty, will it affect my application somehow? Since EOI asks for employment history within the last 10 years. Thanks heaps for all those answering..
  10. Hi all, I am seeking for help and answers from this forum, I hope someone can help me , Here are my details: Qualifications: - Advanced Diploma of Hospitality (2 years program in Australia where the first year was Certificate III in Patisserie, and the 2nd year was Advanced Diploma in Hospitality.) -> Australian Qualification - Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design -> from overseas university Australian Working Experience: - about 380 hours working as a baker before Certificate III in Patisserie awarded. - about 740 hours working as a baker after Certificate III in Patisserie awarded. - about 3 years working in retail with the last position as Trainee Store Manager Overseas Working Experience: - about 3 years working in retail as Area Manager - about 3 years working as Baker Now, I am about to apply for SS subclass 190, I am wondering if: 1) I am nominating Baker as my occupation, can I claim points from my bachelor's degree even though it is not related to my nominated occupation? Since I will only get 10 points from my Advanced Diploma, but I can get 15 points using the degree. 2) If I can claim points from my degree, where should I go to get it recognized? I have no working experience as graphic designer but.. I have been looking around on the internet and found that VETASSESS would be the right place, but I am not sure if I should do qualification assessment-only or the full skills assessment in order to claim 15 points from my degree..Can anyone assist? 3) For skills assessment by TRA, I assume that they will only consider the working experiences after I got awarded with Certificate III, am I right? 4) Since I am overseas and my country is not listed for OSAP, I will have to use TRA MSA (TRA Migration Skills Assessment). Anyone has experience with this? Did they call your employer or check your workplace etc? Or even call you to interview/check your skill? Any response will be highly appreciated! Thanks again!
  11. hi ivetka, i saw on your other post mentioning you keep getting student visa before getting your pr. may i ask what major did you take in order to get your pr? thanks
  12. Thanks Rupert, appreciate your reply..Tried that web before, as I said before, neither of the options there would fit me. 1st, onshore (I am already offshore) I checked the nsw state sponsorship website, I need to get a 3 years work experience on-top of the australian qualification in order to get my skill assessed, the fact that I am overseas means it's not an option. 2nd, off shore skill assessment to get me to permanent visa directly.. the thing is, on that website, indonesia is not stated as nominated country, even baker is not listed as nominated occupation, so it's pretty much dead end.. tried vetassess website as well, but no luck The only option that I can think about is to get a student visa on a cheapskate diploma course, while working in the bakery to get my skill assessed onshore, and then apply for state sponsorship before my visa expires..but as we all know, no one can tell if in the next 2 years, baker will still be on the nsw state sponsorship list.. or i should probably get myself into master degree of accounting course..? just need some advice, since I made a wrong decision once, and not gonna make another one.. Or..has anyone ever tried to revoke their decision on withdrawing their TR application? I have withdrawn my TR application back in April 2013, wondering if I can get DIAC to re-open the application ? (tried to get in touch with the CO, he said no ) EDIT: Wait a minute, Rupert, I have just re-read the link you posted before. Do you reckon I can use TRA Migration Skill Assessment for subclass 190 offshore application? From the information I gather, I might need to use the Job-Ready program since I have Australian Qualification. But if I can use the TRA migration skill assessment program then that will be a good news ! Since I only need to submit documents & evidence..
  13. bumping up my post, hoping someone would be able to help me.. any chance for me to apply temporary work visa/permanent offshore from indonesia? i have australian qualification but haven't got any skill assessment.. anyone?
