  1. Hi James, welcome to PIO, you will find plenty of info on WA and Australia here for a more detailed response on WA Police, have a look at http://www.police-forum.com/ you will find the answers you are looking for. Well done in getting thus far in the recruitment process, if you utilise PIO & the forum you will find what you are looking for. cheers
  2. I'm not sure that answer is correct, Australian Citizens are not subject to a newly arrived residents waiting period (which is usually 2 year for folks with PR). To qualify, you must be an Australian resident, living in Australia (says nothing about Citizenship). I am sure if you have PR after a wait period of 104 weeks you can apply for the card. A number of other conditions also need to be satisfied, have a look at the CSHC booklet for more info or call Centrelink to confirm. http://www.centrelink.gov.au/internet/internet.nsf/filestores/ci010_1101/$file/ci010_1101_p.pdf
  3. Never to old, suggest you get her out for a short holiday (if she hasn't already been out) let her see what is here for her! Parents are never a burden. Good luck
  4. Don't know much about the medicals, our family passed them a couple years back and three of us have an under active thyroid, you get the same thyroxine tablets here, not free like the UK, and they only cost about $20 for a pack of 200. sorry I can't comment on the other conditions. good luck
