1. Fantastic news - I'm really pleased I know that will be a lot off your mind. Wishing you a very happy last Christmas living in Oz x
 2. That does sound a lot - I don't think we paid that much and we had two rabbies injections (we were advised to as it almost guarantees a positive result). Which vet did you see? Perhaps its a case of seeing an opportunity to make some money and taking it. However !!!!!!!! hope this helps - the cost of getting the pet passport in the UK was so much more - I'm sure I was quoted around £400 each dog - cannot believe you were quoted £35 for the blood test in the UK. (Our animals blood tests were sent from here to Edinburgh). I remember thinking at the time that I got them all (two dogs and a cat) done for the same cost here as it would have been for one of them in the UK. My fingers are crossed for you that you don't have to go through it again. x
 3. Hi Christi Thanks for the info - I got a quote from JetPets - it was about $5,300 for two dogs and a cat, Dogtainers was about the same. This included crates, but we still have the crates they came here in, so it may be a bit cheaper. I didn't think that was too bad, the good news of course is there will be no quarantine fees which were another $2k here. We have not no plans as yet, I'm not unhappy here, but I know in the long term I want to go back Karen
 4. I couldn't agree more - our vet told us exactly the same and I check it out and got it in writing from the UK - every three years. What company are you using to get your animals back to the UK? Karen
 5.
Hi Kim, we are well thank you. It would be great to catch up on the phone soon. Perhaps we will try calling you again, hopefully you will be in. What have you been up to? Kx

We only need a 20ft - but I think it wil be tight. We have chosen to go with Robinsons - we liked the guy, he has even been here in the evenings to meet both of us and lives down in Leigh.

Lewis is going to be renting here !!!! (send help).

Hi Kim, we are very well thank you - a bit stressed, but well.

Mick keeps moaning that I've not caught up with you but so much is going on.

Our tenants dropped out but Lewis and his friends have a plan - we also had another viewing yesterday so I'm not too bothered about the house.

We should meet up soon. We are off on holiday on Thursday for two weeks. Will be sending you an invite in the post to a do on the 4th, will you also make Hammer aware please.

Hi Kim

It was my intention to send you a Thank you card - when Mick left for work this morning, he said I needed to PM you instead otherwise you would wait for ever.

We had such a great time on Saturday, thank you and Darren so much - we both said again on the way home what great friends we have made, it was like we had known each other for years. I'm kind of disappointed we are not going to Brisbane as well, but at least we have a holiday location and likewise you know you would be very welcome in Perth.

What a lovely house you have I wouldn't want to move from there!

We haven't had any feedback yet, I don't think it is quite what they are looking for, but I'm pleased within a couple of days of it going on the rental market we have had two people interested.

I think I've made a decision with the dogs - we are going to take Skye and Cyder - however I would love to take Barney instead of Cyder, but him and Skye are not getting on. I've filled out the import forms and have done one for Barney too - just in case I change my mind. Its only another £30 to get his licence now, if I leave it it will be about £130 instead. I've not told Mick that I've filled out the forms, but I have told him about my decision and he seemed quite happy despite saying he believes we should only take Skye and the cat (Willow).

We are going out looking at washing machines, dishwashers etc this evening, if we get them after this coming weekend we can claim the VAT back, bearing in mind electrical goods are more expensive in Oz, we could get ourselves a few bargains.

It would be good to meet up again very soon.

Take care and a huge thank you once again for Saturday.

Love

Karen x
