  1. Meant has air con ! Not sure I can post photos here ?
  2. Hi Very sad to leave our rental but we have to go . It's a 3 bed roomed 3 bathroom home with pool parking for 2 cars in garage and driveway . Fab layout and very spacious . Great kitchen area which overlooks the dining ,living ,outdoor area and pool . Feels like you're on holiday every day .Lots of storage had air con throughout ,dishwasher . $680 per week . Great schools nearby public and private ,Churchlands ,Hale and St.Marys . We're moving due to work .
  3. Hiya check out individual streets even houses in all the areas mentioned as you can get party houses /undesirables in any area including Wembley downs .Id check there was no home west beside your rental Don't know how you check for oiks!!but most people I've met and live beside in Scarborough are hard working professionals but you must look for yourself and get a feel for the area .
  4. hiya, Scarborough and Doubleview are great areas 5 mins in car to beach and near to the city I would also consider woodlands and Wembley downs too .Id not look at Innaloo (name puts me off )and Glendalough (think its a bit rough ).You should really check Churchlands catchment area I can't remember if it's got to be south of Scarborough beach road if you're not in a feeder primary ?Even the primary schools are tightening up on the catchment. The rents are high around here I would say you'd be looking at at least $600 per week to get anything that you would live in .Sorry I can't help you with Bmx stuff as I've got 6 year old girls .
  5. A bit about me and my situation. Me, my wife and daughter are looking into the possibly of relocating to Perth late next year and I want to know if it will offer a better standard of life than we currently get living in Saltcoats the west coast of Scotland. Obviously the weather is much better, but does it make that much difference to your day to day life? I’m 31 and a big fan of mountain biking and enjoy anything that involves the outdoors. Job Electrician, my wife 27 loves horses and keeping fit as well as nice clothes and food. Job GP. my little girl is only 2 and a half so she’s pretty happy with anything ( she’s not a fan of being indoors tho) Would living in Perth give us the outdoor lifestyle I’m thinking it will and also accommodate our everyday needs that I’m used to hear in the UK plus a pool ;o). I understand living costs are high in Perth as are the homes? Would I find this a lot more expensive than back home or is it comparable when you take in to account wages etc.? I’m sure the question has been covered in various different disguises on this and other forums, but I’m after YOUR personal experience did you find your move was all you hoped for. Thanks for your time Hi,Hope I'm doing this correctly only done this twice before .Moved from Saltcoats (11 months ago )and thinks its great .Offers a huge amounts of outdoor things to do lots of parks and stuff for your little one I'd imagine your combined salaries will great here -house with a pool maybe further north from me .My husbands a civil engineer and I had my own business back home but here we survive quite easily on his salary and actually save some money which we could never do before .Rents are stupid money but you do get used to the food prices .As for exercising and outdoor stuff it's non stop here a walk along from Trigg along the coast can be like sauchiehall street and this is at 7 am !Dont miss junkies shouting and bawling up and down the main street that feeling of I can't bring my kids up here to think this is an ok alternative lifestyle so quality of life is much better .But I do miss family and friends and will be able to compare even more when we come back for a wee holiday in the New Year
  6. Hiya Stacey ,we came over last October on a 457 took the chance because we were getting close to 45 years old .we've got twin daughters and knewof a friend's friend lived in Perth .My husband had a few months at head office to settle then has done the fifo on a 16 day away 5 home rota .We're coping fine ,is it ideal -no would love 2:2 or even 2:1 about girls are nearly 6 and get upset every time he goes but do bounce back quickly .It can be lonely but you will make friends and there's lots of people do it .What about you getting a job at the same place -there's a few married couples do it then you can both earn big money and travel together on your time off .My husband had never worked away befor ,I lived in a small ayrshire town seeing my mum every day almost and I'd say we've done great .Try it I say get into the country and if you don't like go home
  7. Hiya, you do not need to get a chest x ray for a 457 or certainly when we came out in October last year none of us got a chest X-ray .The whole process took around 4 weeks and did involve my husband going for a medical but that's all -hope that helps .
