Oh wow you started it all so quickly. I don't know where I got the idea that you needed a years experience. So if I worked part time id need 6 months experience do you think? Do you not have to have completed a certain amount of hours? I don't even know where to start with this. Is there a checklist/ timeline anywhere that you can recommend please? Ps. Kylie, I qualify next Friday! When did you start your application process if you only qualified in September ? I got a first in my degree, does it make any real difference? I was under the impression that you couldn't apply for the visa until you have a years UK experience? Also, does anyone know if you have to have a certain amount of hours working experience in a UK hospital before applying for Oz? I am a single Mum and not sure whether to work full or part time here in the UK, want to meet the requirement but don't want to stretch myself anymore than I have been for the past 3 years throughout my degree! Hi! In terms of your husband all I can say is that my uncle had his own painting and decorating firm here in the UK but wasn't allowed to start his own firm straight away in Oz. He had to work with a guy for a certain amount of time and then was allowed to start his own business agin. I'm also a student nurse planning on emigrating a few years after I qualify. I qualify next Friday! Ekkkk. When do you? Just wondering if you've heard whether we have to have full or part time experience in order to qualify for the visa? Good luck! Thanks Becks and louloubelle that's really helpful. I wonder if any of the post grad qualifications are recognised though? I fancy management in healthcare it's a year post grad course and I wonder if it's worth going straight on to do it while working part time. Hi, I am planning to migrate to Oz. I am about to qualify as a BSc Adult Nurse but I am considering doing my Masters in Medical management before emigrating. Does anyone know whether it's worth it, or is it better to complete Masters in Oz? Also, how much Nursing experience is necessary before applying for the visa?
