I'm settling in pretty well, though I still haven't met anyone from over the other side of the world. How are you liking it? Have you settled?

Yes, definitely. I have only lived here 3 months but absolutely love it. There are some lovely people here, beautiful beaches and scenery around and there always seems to be something to do. Like anywhere, there are probably some good and not so good areas, though I don't really know where they are. All in all, a really lovely place

Hi, I came over to Australia 8 years ago, with my husband and our 2 children. My hubby passed away 3 and a half years ago, the children are off doing their thing, and I recently moved to Brisbane for work. So....i'm hearing what you're saying. Hi guys, same for me......though i'm in my early 40's. Moved to North Brisbane 3 months ago and haven't really made any friends as yet. I'm on my own, so it doesn't feel easy at times. I'm from Yorkshire originally, and definitely up for a bit of socialising.
