  1. I havent! I will take a look now, Thankyou @Thepomqueen
  2. Hi Guys, Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place. I have received my Australian PR and I am going travelling to India/Singapore for 1 month before activating my PR visa in Australia. Looking for appropriate emigration cover. I did look into backpacking cover but I cannot be returned to the UK if anything was so happen - I need to be flown to Australia to activate my visa as it expires in February! Anyone offer any advice/experience? I've been looking at go-walkabout and DUInsure... Thanks
  3. I did fruit picking and potato picking for my 2nd year visa. The work was pretty hard graft and the pay was $10 an hour - the wage tends to be poor as the farmers know you need the visa forms signing... but I believe new laws came into place last year which means they have a pay you a minimum wage now?? So may be better for you.. Saying that, I met some of my best friends staying in a working hostel! Great atmosphere.. And if I had to do it all over again to get my 2nd year visa, I would. I spent the last 40days working in a warehouse 1hour outside melbourne grading potatoes - great wage and really easy work! I guess if you can find warehouse work or work on a cattle farm it will be easier than standing in the hot sun all day picking fruit.. but any job is better than none be sure to check the postcode regions to make sure the area you get work is classed as 'regional' Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  4. Contact the local hostels in the area regarding any available farming opportunities and look at the harvest trail website to research the best locations for farmwork depending on the time of year.. Good luck with your travels! Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  5. I too was in the same boat as a couple of you guys... got my degree in IT, and instead of going down the grad scheme route I decided to travel. Loved every single minute, came home as I had a great job opportunity - now I'm earning heaps of money, doing my dream job.. but I felt like there's something missing... So I've gained the work experience I needed in order to apply for a permenant residency visa - and had it granted back in April.. I'm emmigrating to Aus in January! The WHV was the best thing I could have done, and I don't regret a second of it! Travelling taught me so much, not only about the world, but about myself.. In my experience job opportunities will always come around & your careers not going anywhere.. Go for it! I've also got some farming contacts in coffs harbour, so if you decide to go down the 2whv route and will be around that area feel free to give me a message Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk

  8. I've also been shopping around for prices for shipping a few boxes. Just opened myself an anz bank account - which gives you a 10% discount with pickfords. Or your 4th tea chest for free. They all worked out a similar prices with my quotes, but that discount dedinitley swayed me. Haven't booked yet, but will be doing shortly. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  9. @snifter thanks for the useful info! Certainly helped my get my head round the process. I shall now work on gathering some quotes! Thanks again Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  10. Hi POI, Just been granted my 189! I was hoping someone will be able to advise me on my options/ the best way to send over around 3boxes of clothes and maybe 1box of books etc. I am able to store them with a friend upon arrival. I've done a quote with seven seas, but it mentioned about paying at both ends? So going to have to investigate this further to find out how it all works! Still a little confused. Still in the early stages at the mo, not in a rush to get my stuff there as I'm not leaving until jan2017 but just hoped someone else may have suggestions when only wanting to ship a few boxes. Really appreciate and help, thanks in advance! Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  11. Just me! I'm 26, starting a new chapter Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  12. Hi Guys, Just got the phonecall from my agent. VISA GRANTED! :jiggy: 44 days since CO contact 61 days since application lodged Good luck to all those still waiting!
  13. Emailed my agent to find out my CO office - I'm Adelaide too.
  14. I Noticed a few guys in the thread mentioned a 'tracker' they used. You can sign up and input your visa timeline. It is then added to a list and you can track others visa progress timelines to compare with your own. The wait and not knowing is driving me crazy, like most of you I'm sure. Trying to be patient!
  15. @cm1212 I have a torrent programme. I don't want to put links and get banned from the forum!.. Just do a quick google of "Pearsons test of English practice test plus .torrent download"
