  1. So spoke to my Immi Lawyer today, no news & probably quite over Christmas too... still hoping they give me my favourable decision before then!
  2. Not sure but feels like they won't do much between 23rd Dec and the 4th of January time though! Hope i get i before the year ends but can only pray.
  3. Seems to be taking forever aye! Gosh I am still waiting man & praying
  4. Not yet.. still waiting - hopefully this week! But again just praying & hoping
  5. Hopefully they process it in this month! My agent wrote to the dept. to get an update, lets see what the outcome is.
  6. Hi so this is my situation; 1) Lodged visa 189 on 11th September 2) Request for more information: 19th October 3) Health test taken on the 23rd October 4) Results given on the 26th October Is this taking too long? i'm using a migration agent too.
  7. yup still awaiting an outcome.. hope sometime this month!
  8. does this include the time they request more info or after that time?
  9. I had my lawyer ask me to get my medicals done and further proof of study, sent this across at least 4.5 weeks ago.. but no info? still waiting!
  10. When people say they got their grant, they mean their invitation i assume?
  11. immi system down today.. another week ahead of waiting.. keep patient i guess
  12. Just keep hoping and praying - thats what I'm doing
  13. Hey, So when you're looking to use a migration agent use an approved one - off the government site! That's extremely important. Secondly, there are pros and cons and in my experience, which is ongoing, i would say this is what I have found so far: 1) A reputable migration can actually be a help when getting a job as organisations spoke to my lawyers and confirmed my visa situation, thus getting me a job - incredibly helpful in my career! 2) They're extremely thorough and look over everything, then give you the chance to look at it to confirm before sending it off to the department. This ensures everything is done correctly and swiftly, without any hiccups. 3) They have solutions to problems that arise, for example I was in the midst of having my Grad visa granted but at the same time potentially my residency, they were smart enough to wait it out and get the grad visa granted, then wait for the pending residency. Basically it was smart because it didn't mean my residency may have came through and then my grad visa would have overridden it - could you imagine that! lol That's my input and to be bluntly honest, the only disadvantage/con is the price you pay - it is astronomical.
