  1. Hi All, Need some help please My sister has bachelor's and master's degree in Environmental Sciences, along with relevant professional experience of 10+ years. She is trying to get her skills assessment done but unsure which is the most relevant authority, the link from immigration site (below) has list of them but we are unable to assess which one is the right one. Based on her education and work experience, I think she falls under Unit Group 2343, Environmental Scientist (probably ANZSCO 234399?). I am hoping someone in this forum has applied or has the knowledge to point us to right direction please. https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/working-in-australia/skills-assessment/assessing-authorities Really appreciate it, thanks
  2. Replied to email, but received below .... not sure what to do now This is an automated message. This mailbox is not monitored and you will not receive a response. If your enquiry relates to the Subclass 870 Sponsored Parent (Temporary) visa, please visit the website for further information. If you are responding to a request for additional information, please provide your response or attach the requested information via your ImmiAccount. Applications for 870 sponsorships and visas are considered in lodgement date order. Documents or information submitted in response to a request from the Department, will usually be considered within 28 days. The Department is currently assessing 870 sponsorship and visa applications lodged in December 2019. Please note that individual processing times do vary and the Department is unable to respond to progress enquiries.
  3. Hi All, I have applied 870 visa for my parents, we received the request for medicals but unfortunately same day my mother suffered minor fracture on her foot, her mobility has become quite difficult due to plaster and doctor advising rest/no stress on the foot. The request states to do medicals within 28 days but foot recover is likely going to take bit more than 28 days. To make it easier for my mother I am thinking of explaining the situation to case office and try getting little extension so she can recover from foot injury first, I am the authorized person to receive/send information on applicant's behalf but I have no idea how to contact the case officer, all I have is the name of CO and position number mentioned in the email/document which was sent to me, there is no contact number or email Does anybody have any experience contacting CO? What's the best way contacting your case officer? … Really appreciate if someone can help urgently Thanks, FB
  4. Appreciate if experienced members can help out, thanks
  5. Applicants are required to provide police clearance certificates for places they have lived for total of 12 months in last 10 years, if they lived in AU for total 12 months then yes they'll need AU certificate in addition to Indian certificate. Details about 100 points check is mentioned on the website for AU certificate
  6. Hi All, Does anyone know what's the best way to contact your case officer? My mother has suffered minor fracture on the foot today, her mobility is bit difficult due to the plaster. We received the request to do medicals yesterday for visa application (submit within 28 days.) To make it easier for my mother I am thinking of explaining the situation to case office and try getting little extension so she can recover from foot injury first, I am the authorized person to receive/send information on applicant's behalf Does anybody have any experience contacting CO? All I have is the name of CO and position number mentioned in the email/document which was sent to me, there is no contact number or email Thanks, FB
  7. No updates for so long, this is very concerning. If I remember correctly there was 15K visas cap annually and its expected that lot of people would be applying for 870 ! Just bumped into this article: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-07-17/parent-visa-online-profiles-user-name-change-deport/11314906
  8. True, it would be interesting to know the timelines from @Alan Collett
  9. How long the approval took? Based on posts here, seems approvals are either very slow or rare
  10. My feedback on the same question while ago
  11. Hi Hutchy, I went through the process back in 2015 from Melbourne. UAE embassy in Canberra was estimating at least 3 months of turnaround time (and no guarantees) from application submission. If my memory serves well, this is how I did it: - Downloaded application forms of criminal antecedents clearance certificate from embassy's website in Canberra - Organized to give finger prints (one of the downloaded forms is for this purposes) with Public Enquires Service, Criminal Records Branch Victorian Police in Melbourne - Original finger prints certificates authenticated by Australian Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade - Legalization fee of 190 AUD (money order), passport size photographs, passport copies (current & old) of all applicants, copies of all UAE residence visas and a prepaid self-addressed return envelop was sent to UAE embassy in Canberra Request to UAE embassy was to only legalize original finger prints certificates and send them back to me. Once received back I sent all necessary documents to my ex PRO in Dubai. He helped in getting the police clearing certificates directly, this saved lot of time and money, all process took approximately 6 weeks Certificate's validity is 3 months only. I am not sure if above process is changed now but please do check Hope it helps
