  1. I thank you both for your kind responds n advice. Appreciated.
  2. Thanks and so do I claim the tax free threshold or not? My company was processing my pay with the tax free threshold then someone told me I should not claim the tax free threshold which then I will pay a tax rate which is higher. I m so confused. No UK income.
  3. can someone please help me with this tax free threshold issue. I am on a 457 Visa and have been working here since 1st Dec 2015. On the question of to claim or not to claim the tax free threshold, wondering which is for me and what is the differences. Please any advise will be appreciated.
  4. Hi to all that is still waiting for your grant, don't be despair and don't give up hope, I waited 5 months after application.Total with sponsorship and nomination till visa granted took about 9 months. After application to DIBP, I heard nothing from them and my MA only gets a application actively in process when she contacted them twice as she advised not to bother them too much and also advise against going into the country with a tourist visa, my sponsor also decide to wrote in to them at this point of time and we got a reply after a week and they asked for my police clearance as I am a residence of another country but my husband (secondary applicant) does not need one as he is in his country of birth. We got our visa as soon as my police clearance was summited on that very day. I also advise against leaving jobs or selling property as it can really drag that many months. Really it is from case to case and nobody can tell why the delay. I only started to sell off my little cafe business now and get organize which will take me another month before I can get off. Hope my timeline can enlighten some doubts to all out there that is waiting. I know exactly how you feel but there is a light in this tunnel, just wait patiently as I have posted earlier, as long as we don't hear a NO from them there is hope.
  5. Yes dodziu, finally....... Thank God! Hope you are all settled already. I m just starting, so much to do now and don't know where to start. We really did come a long way. Hooray......
  6. Hi everybody, our visa just got approved, 5 months! So all out there that is waiting don't give up but please don't do anything until you all have your visa in hand. Ours took this long with nomination and sponsored approved in April. Hang in there. Now the ball start rolling for us. See you all in Perth.
  7. We are into our 19 weeks and still hopefully waiting. I have not in others forums seen anyone have having 457 approved recently. Wondering why? By next week if we still have nothing then we must contact Bupa insurance agiain to change date. Does anyone know how long will they take when they said it is in the finalize lot?:goofy: This is how I am now.
  8. We use Bupa, actually they are very helpful. Insurance will start only when we step foot in Australia. But then they need to know roughly which date. How I wish I know too. Yes it will be good to contact your sponsor, so you can have an ideal what they can do for you.
  9. True, I think there is no difference whether we are low risk or high risk though we are low risk and do not have a clue what is happening. Our MA is trying her best but seems to be of no valid. Her answer from them is, application is actively manage and in progress. That was 5 weeks ago. I am also worried about about our insurance as our activated date has passed and don't know what to do with it. At ends.
  10. We are heading for Perth. Visited Rockhampton years ago, beautiful. We hope all of us will have our visa granted soon. It is frustrating and nerve wracking.
  11. I almost sold my cafe business after nomination was granted and thank God I waited a little a longer and then longer and longer......... MA contacted DIBP and answer is the same as others IN PROCESS. I guess we can only start organizing when visa is in hand. Insurance and medical all done, we are at ends but then what can we do. We are just guessing maybe my husband, secondary applicant is an active military man. We try to live our life as normal and hope my sponsor will wait for us. Hope you don't have to go tru this like us. Some get their visa very fast and some like us takes ages. Good luck and all the best to you. Hope to hear your grant soon.
  12. 18 weeks n I m still waiting.......really have not heard about any fast track application. Have no ideal why ours is delaying so long, not even my MA and I am not giving up hope. Anyone out there waited longer than this?:wacko:
  13. Hooray..... I m so so happy for you. Hope hope hope for me and others now.
  14. As long as you don't hear a "no" from them, don't give up. My MA told me she had one client granted after 7 months. We still have hope.
  15. Congratulations, very happy for u and thanks for posting, for uplifting our hope. Mid May, so hopefully we will too have news soon. Dodziu, continue to keep our fingers cross.
