  1. Hi Shahid I don't have the guidelines in front of me so I can't really say if you need to have documentation for them all. It all really depends on what country you are from to say which documentation you need. For example, here in the UK I used tax returns, pay slips and a summary document from HMIC. You would need to list all of your employers and document at least 3 years post qualification experience. But you must also document and evidence that you have been working in the past two years in that trade, as per the qualification. A testimony outlining why you cannot provide documentation for the other employers should be fine. But remember, it is only relevant POST qualification
  2. I had the same problem. My qualification was awarded on XYZ date but my certificate wasn't issued until ZYX date (replace letters with a fictional date). This is quite common and they will understand this - you won't be the first person and certainly not the last! I printed off a sheet of paper called a Candidate Record from CITB (construction related in the UK) which basically showed when I started my qualification to when I was awarded the qualification. Furthermore, I also provided a sheet of paper with "key dates" which outlined every relevant qualification I had started and finished. I also included phone numbers, names and email addresses should they want to cross reference this. It's also worth nothing that if you had lost your certificate and needed a new one, it would show the date that the certificate was printed. So the date on the certificate is really... Irrelevant!
  3. That's correct. You need to have 3 years POST QUALIFICATION experience. Sorry for the capitals, but I wanted to stress that part. You can however gain a Recognition Prior to Learning (RPL) which is if you have been doing the trade for 5 or more years whereby you're experience in the trade counts as the qualification. You would of course have to undertake the RPL to gain that piece of paper to evidence it! Hope this helps. But remember, a year is nothing. I've been waiting 5 years for this and I'm still putting it off another year or two!
  4. Hi Karl I literally listed everything and what tools were used for what! Mine was 6 pages long which divulged into lots of details, projects I had worked on, what my role was, how I got into the trade, when I became qualified, what my next goals are (qualifications etc). Your employer reference will be less detailed than your personal statement. So more about what they have seen you do - your role, when you commenced employment with them etc. It's very vague, but only give the information they are asking for
  5. Thanks Mikee. Yes definitely will declare it and will give maximum information. At the end of the day it's something that has happened now and I can't change that! Just gotta move forward and up with the future :-) Thanks again everyone. Greatly appreciated!
  6. Hi Quinkla Thanks for your reply. Everyone is entitled to their opinions I suppose. But unfortunately it was one word against another's. Instead of shouting from the tops of the streets "I didn't do it" "it's all their fault" I took ownership to it and I am remorseful. We all have our bad days. As for the username, it was when I was presently a police officer at the time. So it was completely relevant. Would you prefer me to change it? Second to that, I am also a company director for a roofing firm - have been since I was 16 so thankfully I had a backup plan. My skilled migration is a 189 Skilled Independent Visa, for which I already have a valid skills assessment for. I can see your point where you wouldn't see me as a good character - fair & valid however, what constitutes as a good character? Does one action mean that they have to remain bad all their lives? Because of a verbal altercation do I need to be told that I am bad? Nonsense. I work 6/7 days a week, support my sisters with their children where I can (swimming lessons, babysitting) as well as fitting in Muay Thai (Thai boxing). I would stop in the street to help someone if they needed it. I would report crime as needed. Does that mean I am a bad character still? Quite wrong of you to assume and judge without knowing the full facts.
  7. Thanks all. Yeah I can provide character references from solicitors, my accountant and even a magistrate, so hopefully that will be enough! I intended on declaring it anyway, honesty and integrity and all that! Thanks for the advice
  8. Hi Joshnbecci, I believe you may be able to get your trade assessed by the Down Under Centre (they basically assess you and you are given the Australian equivalent qualification). Check out their website here: http://www.downundercentre.com/australian-skill-assessments Good luck!
  9. Evening (or morning) all. Me again! I have browsed this forum for sometime now and as some of you will be aware, I am at the stage of applying for my EOI to get invited for the 189 visa. My only issue is that last April I fell onto the wrong side of the law (I was a police officer at the time) where I got into a verbal altercation with a taxi driver after an evening out over a taxi fare. Subsequently I was arrested and charged with S4a Public Order and Failing to Comply with a Dispersal Order - I was being argumentative and should have just gone home as advised! Anywho... It went to court and I was Found Guilty for the two offences and given a fine for them. I was convicted of these offences in September 2015 (the offences took place in April 2015 so coming up to a year now). Whilst I know none of you (or at least I know of) is a case officer.. But does anyone have any insight into this? I've worked pretty hard to get where I am at now, I don't want this to be the end of the road! Bear in mind that my Skills Assessment was granted in 2015 too (dates in signature). I am 22 years old, single, if good character (despite this event) and I have no intentions of re-offending! Let me know your thoughts, they are greatly appreciated
  10. Hi Karl The detailed description and nature of and content of your work undertaken are for your employer to describe what you do day to day. Your role, what they observe you do etc. Your description is far more detailed (I know it seems backwards) but you need to include every little detail possible. You have to remember that these Case Officers may have never worked in your trade before, so describe every tool, how you would use it etc. PomCop
  11. OUTCOME LETTER RECEIVED!!!! Result: Your application has been assessed as SUCCESSFUL for the occupation of Roof Plumber - 334115 IM OVER THE MOON!!!!!
  12. PS - I had payslips from my employers too which were submitted :-)
  13. Hi Retroboy Welcome to the forum! I too submitted printed bank statements as I'm a 21st century kinda guy! These shouldn't be a problem. What I also did, to make it easier for the TRA Case Officer, was highlight all my paid income relevant to my nominated occupation. I submitted all my tax records, certificates relevant to the nominated occupation, employer references, syllabus' for my qualifications too. If you get stuck with anything, just give me a shout and I'll try my best to steer you in the right direction!
  14. Hi AlleluYa, I don't think TRA carry out technical interviews for our trades (I'm a roof plumber and its all a paperwork based assessment where I submit evidence of work experience, qualifications, bank statements etc). I submitted my TRA application via Royal Mail in the UK and got my 'Acknowledgement Letter' email within two-weeks of it being posted. I tracked my parcel the entire way to ensure its delivery. Did you have yours tracked too? Best of luck!
  15. I'm still awaiting my results but I'm pretty sure that you just receive an email / letter (depending on the method of contact) which gives you a reference number for your EOI and the letter is valid for a period of 3 years
