  1. Thanks for your reply blossom z I have now been waiting nearly 4 weeks and still have nothing approved yet. Does anyone think that it look unlikely that I will pass? Nobody from immigration has contacted me . I have called twice but all they say is I'm in a queue. I'm becoming worried now and really need to know what's happening so I can make plans to either get home if that's what it's going to be or if it's not I need to start looking for work . Has anyone else been in This situation ? Please help!!
  2. Hi all This morning I applied for my 2nd whv , there was no option to add my signed form or payslip evidence . my first whv does not run out until middle of February . Anyway after i applied i immediately got a email from immigration saying i had been granted a bridging visa A . I have gone back into my immi account and on the tab where it says attach supporting evidence it says there is no need to attach extra evidence at this time . Does anyone know why i would have been granted a bridging visa straight away ... is this loooking like i will not be granted the visa , i have slogged my guts out for the last 3 months and done everything correctly and now just worried that it might not pass ?? Any help or thoughts appreciated . PS hope everyone had a lovely christmas xx
  3. Wondering if anyone knows the answer
  4. can anyone tell me how many hours you have to work per day or if there is a minimum number of hours per day you need to work to be eligible for your 2nd year visa . I know that you have to complete 88 days in total . thanks in advance
  5. Hi , thanks for your reply we have already been given the ok by his employer . They don't have a problem with me being added as long as we pay for it . Which we will happily do . We have address proof at the moment which consists of joint lease , all utility bills , and bank statements coming to the house . We are also beniferacys for each other's super annuation . I am completing my regional as I thought it would be safer to give us the extra year as a safety net because so far the conflicting stories of how many months evidence is needed to prove your in a defacto relationship varies . Some people say you only need 6 months other people say don't even bother applying until you have 12 months . I don't know who to believe . Visas are stressful and the last thing I/we would want is for us to be denied . As for the regional work do you think this will be passed easily , as I previously said I have pay slips and the money is being paid into my account and it's the same employer for my full 88 days and it's in regional WA . I am just really worried because I know there has been some recent changes to the 2nd year visa . None of which I understand .
  6. Hi all, it's been a while since I posted and I'm sorry if it is in the wrong category .I have been in WA Now for nearly 7 months . And for anyone that is scared or apprehensive about the move to Australia please don't be . It has been the best decision of my life and I recommend anyone to make the move . anyway I'm back on here asking for some help, I'm in the process of doing my regional work . My partner is here in a 457 hoping to be able to eventually be added as defacto to his visa. We have names on a joint lease since September and have a joint account plus pictures and invitations. Prior to this I lived with him from march- sept in his apartment here but only his name was on the lease and we had no joint names on electric etc . im becoming increasingly concerned and worried that what if for some reason immigration decide not to pass my 2nd year visa. I am working, being paid & I'm getting payslips in a regional postcode area of WA. Im hearing horror stories at the minute about people not being passed . I'm doing the work to be able to stay in the hope that after my first year is up we will have enough evidence of being in a defacto relationsHip and I can be moved onto his 457. please can anyone reassure me or if anyone has a similar experience to me could they share this stories . thanks Emma x
  7. hi all thank you for your replies its appreciated , its also good to hear from people who have actually been on a whv and can share their experiences . I intend to start in perth , I have a flight booked foe next sunday (15th ) but still feeling very nervous about getting on it . Can anybody say what the work opportunities are like at the minute in Perth ? Good or Bad ? I keep reading reports online that the unemployment is at its highest in WA . Maybe I am looking into it to much and its making me more worried !! what about immi do they stop you , I will be coming with around $5.500 to start with and as I say plan to look for work straight away . I've been thinking about it lots and reckon if I don't do it now then I never will , I think its fear of it not working out that is worrying me but I guess if I don't try it out I will never know !! Thanks for your replies folks
  8. Hi all New to this forum so if I have posted in the wrong section then I am sorry , Im a 25 year old girl looking to come to Australia on a working holiday visa for one year , maybe two if things work out . I have a few things that I'm stressing over . Can anyone help ? Is the job market for working holiday visa's good or bad ? - I have experience in retail , dental nursing , admin , and a short period of bar work - I am also willing to do any kind of work to earn some cash how easy is it to make friends ? - I am a very outgoing bubbly person and will talk to anyone, I'm coming on my own so will be solo until I find some buddies! At 25 do you think that that is too old to come on a WHV , am I going to be the "odd one" out so to speak? And lastly - lol , has any one been to aus and came back and found it difficult to get work , I ask this because I would be giving quite a good job here to come over . I know that nobody can answer that question straight out - but would be good to hear people's experiences . Thanks for your help - Looking forward to seeing some replies xx
