  1. Ok. Thanks for your kind information. I am collecting my Vaccination certificate. Though Polio Vaccination is given to me but I have lost the certificate. I think govt. hospital would eagerly provide me the certificate as Bangladesh is a Polio Free country declared by WHO.
  2. I have already replied that I have never been any of those countries but still no feedback from CO. Actually I am little bit frustrated for the lengthy procedure.
  3. Actually its not like a strait forward request from CO rather it seems Polio evidence is asked unintentionally. The original text are given below: ""Sensitive Dear Sir/Madam In order to be able to finalise this case would you please attend to the following. Evidence of Polio vaccination On 5 May 2014, the World Health Organization (WHO) Director General declared the recent international spread of wild type polio virus to be a ‘public health emergency of international concern’ under the International Health Regulations (IHR). Ten countries, listed below, have been identified as having suffered recent outbreaks of Polio. Applicants who have spent 28 days or longer in any of the 10 countries listed below on or after 5 May 2014 are required to provide their current certificate of vaccination. As you are an applicant who has spent 28 days or longer in of these countries on or after 5 May 2014, you are requested to provide your current certificate of vaccination. Please note that failure to provide this certificate may result in unnecessary delays to the processing of your visa application. Countries: Afghanistan, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Iraq, Israel, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria Further information is available from www.immi.gov.au/allforms/health-requirements/threats-public-health.htm Please submit the required certificate within 28 days of receiving this request. As this is an email request you will be deemed to have received the request today. Regards"
  4. Actually I have submitted Police Clearance document but i hesitated in case of providing POLIO Vaccination Evidence its not applicable for me. It was my mistake to mention "Polio clearance instead of Polio Vaccination evidence".
  5. Hello, I have applied skill regional 489 (state nomination visa) on 23rd January 2014 from Bangladesh. CO from team 33(Brisbane) allocated and requested for Medical and Police Clearance on 09 March 2014. All of the requested documents were submitted on 03rd April 2014. Then no more response form my CO until 02nd August, when he asked for Polio Vaccination evidence though the evidence is not applicable for the applicants of Bangladeshi citizens. That's why I inform him that according to DIBP that evidence is not applicable for me. Now again 12 days have been passed till waiting for response. I am just wondering why my CO still hesitating to reach a decision? According to DIBP the standard time frame for 489 visa is about 3 months. What can I do now? Is any one there who have faced the same situation as I am at present ?
  6. Actually it is state sponsored (South Australia) 489 visa application. By the way, recently my CO from team 33 has requested to provide Polio Vaccination Evidence though Polio Vaccination Evidence is not applicable for me as I am neither an applicant from these ten countries (Afghanistan, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Iraq, Israel, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria) nor stayed there for a moment. I replied to my CO on 2nd August about this matter and again no reply from him. I am not sure why my CO is delaying so much to make a decision and claiming some unnecessary documents...
  7. Dear Christina77, Can you please tell us your visa subclass. Usually each visa category has its standard time frame to be allocated a CO though standard time frame is not followed strictly in all cases. But if you are a applicant of subclass 190 or 489 then you can expect that CO would be allocated within 2 months. You can follow the link to find out the detailed http://www.immi.gov.au/about/charters/client-services-charter/visas/8.0.htm. Hope very soon a CO would be allocated.
  8. :mad:Hello. I have lodged my 489 visa from Bangladesh on 23 January 2014. On March 14, CO allocated and asked me to provide Police clearance and medical report. I provided both the demands on 03 April 2014. Then no more response from CO. But suddenly today he send me a e-mail asking Polio Vaccination Evidence. According to him "As you are an applicant who has spent 28 days or longer in of these countries on or after 5 May 2014, you are requested to provide your current certificate of vaccination. Please note that failure to provide this certificate may result in unnecessary delays to the processing of your visa application. Countries: Afghanistan, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Iraq, Israel, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria" I am Bangladeshi and I have never lived any other country except Bangladesh. Bangladesh is Polio free country declared by WHO. On the other hand according to DIBP citizens of Bangladesh are exempt from Polio Vaccination Evidence. Source: http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/health-requirements/threats-public-health.htm I am wondering why the Co has asked me to provide evidence of Polio Vaccination?:arghh:
  9. Thanks for your reply. But as far as I know that it is not wise to make contact with C/O. Actually I it is frustrating to wait for a long time for visa issued especially when the standard time frame for visa issue is about 3 months. If you don't mind One more question: If you applied for 489 visa or 190 visa? Thanks.
  10. Hello, I am just wondering what's happened about 489 visa process. I have lodged my visa in 23 january 2013 for 489 visa subclass. CO allocated 12 March 2014 and on 03 rd April medical and Police Clearance papers submitted as requested by CO. I hard that a very limited visa would be issued untill 1s July. But its 20 th July now. Still I am waiting for my visa approval. Can any one tell me whats wrong about 489 visa system. I am not sure whether 489 visa is still in abeyance or still on process. Need some help.
