  1. Thanks Skani Yes that stress will definitely be an issue! Where I am in the UK suffers from being snowed in each year!
  2. Thanks Petals We have been looking at Frankston South, Langwarrin, Emerald, Upwey and Monbulk, but looking on paper isnt the same as on the ground. If we could pin down a couple of areas to look that would be easier. Would prefer semi rural, non estate. But there are soooo many nice places!!!Ill look at the LIV forum too thanks.
  3. Hi guys Were moving over to Melbourne on a PR visa next month. Ive secured a job in Malvern and were looking a rentals a commutable distance of about 45 mins. We prefer rural ish with a possible rental with small acreage. Can anyone recommend some good horsey areas with good trails etc within that commutable distance? With a good primary school, and nearby train station? Many thanks
  4. Quite!:xmas24: was losing the will to live!
  5. Hi Leep! Ive got a position in a private hospital in Melbourne. :jiggy: From what i can gather i can still get registered without the COCE but will have the note on registration that prevents me from doing midwifery led or caseloading practice. Is that how you understand it? I waiting 10 months and 143 emails to get this far with AHPRA!!!!
  6. hi Leep Can you clarify this for me please? Im currently a community midwife in the UK, but Im moving to Oz next month to take up a hospital post. Ive been given conditional reg from ahpra for 12 months supervised practice for COCE to be completed. Ive not heard anywhere about this being reduced to 3. helppppppp :arghh::yes::notworthy: Thanks =)
  7. There's 2 in Manchester. Ours was the Bridgwater hospital. The other one was a spire one I think and was the same company as the Birmingham one.
  8. We went to medmigration in Manchester. They weren't the closest to us, but the cheapest. Saved us a couple of hundred quid.
  9. Hiya. Our boys 6 and 7 had to have medicals but not the blood tests. They thought it a real adventure! We were dreading it but they made it really fun for them :-)
  10. Hi guys newbie here. Has anyone managed to get midwifery registration recently and did you get jobs ok? Thanks [emoji41]
