    Diploma v NVQ

Hi All Any one know which diploma you need as a minimum to be recognised in OZ- I think its level 5 but cant be sure ? thanks
  4. hi. So I am a little confused with my qualifications over here and the information that I have received has been mixed. i currently have a NVQ level 3, which is not a high enough qualification. I am looking for a diploma qualification however does it have to be a level 4 diplomats a minimum ? Level 4 of the National Qualifications Framework is what apparently is the equivalent for an Australia diploma , could this be a NVQ level 4 however ? I am looking to see if I would be better off getting an increased NVQ or should I just go for level 4 diploma as this is the minimum I need for Australia ? also on the Australia website it states that as long as you have 3 years experience then this may substitute for the qualification, is so confused as do I really need additional qualifications or is this just to assist with the points and then to secure a job when in Australia ? thanks for any advice
  5. Thanks cjenky, you have given me hope again ! Go Matilda basically told me no, however I have contacted another agent and also vetassess to see what they suggest. My NVQ was through work and only took about 9 month, go Matilda thought this was not right, surely an NVQ is an NVQ regardless of how long it took !! i will investigate nvq4 tomorrow thanks again and good luck with your app
  6. Bad news I'm afraid had a good email chat with marina fro. Go Matilda, she was great with her advice, she advised I would have to get state sponsor as my job is on the Csol only, my NVQ 3 is not high enough, I would be able to get NVQ 4 but again she said they would have to check the courses, I asked about her fees and was told she would not give them as did not think I would qualify. My cousin who is in oz is going to try and look into sponsorship for me, trying to stay positive but at least I know without shelling out on any money Gutted
  7. Just checked, I have a Edexcel level 3 NVQ in management issued 2011
  8. Thanks adonna, It seems more unlikely that this is going to happen , however I have contacted go Matilda to see if they can help me further, I am going to dig out my NVQ and see what it says for definite. Fingers crossed ! Thanks again, ps I think I'm already mad starting this process lol !
  9. Fab, thank you, yes, the gov page is telling me one thing, I have contacted go Matilda and I will ask them my questions too. Thanks again
  10. Brilliant, thanks very much for all your advice, I think getting an agent for further assistance is worth while, how does the skills assessment work ? I have got NVQ in management, however I'm not sure that would be recognised , my employer does not offer anything formal, so I may have a look at some courses thanks again everyone
  11. hi all, is there any web pages that I can register on to see if I can get a sponsored visa to australia, my job is on the SOL list so really not sure if this is even an option. Just curious how people get these ? Thanks
  12. Hiya, thanks for your swift response, yes native English, I am a call centre manager in sales and I have I house qualifications only, no degree or higher education unfortunately, I have been in the role over 8 years so I am assuming it will have to be works experience thanks
  13. Hi everyone, I'm new to this site, and am looking for some help, I'm 33 and looking to come over on a 189, 190 visa if possible, I'm a little confused about the points system asI would have to score 20 points in the English test, how realistic is this ? I have had a quick look at the mock tests and they look difficult and if I don't get full points I won't get to 60 and therefore pointless proceeding as my husbands job is not on the skilled list. Also I was looking to complete the visa application myself, if I don't get the points I need would I be better to go through an agent as on the visa wizard it states that there are more visas not on there ? Also I have an aunt, and cousins in adelaide however this does not seem to make a difference and they cannot sponsor me, I am unsure why I would appreciate any help, thanks
