  1. Hi Guys Thanks so much for responding to my post and for providing the links. Sorry was a bit new to this so didn't realise I had any replies to my question - wasn't being rude Maryrose02 - we are kind of assuming and hoping that sport will be a big part of life down under which will be great for my kids who also take their sport seriously Julie, it all seems very confusing in terms of leagues and stuff am sure we will get to grips with it once we are there... my daughter is happy to make the move but football is so important to her and I just am hoping it will be right.
  2. Thanks for responding! Did you also get certified copies of the passports and birth certificates?
  3. Hi Just wondering if anyone knows whether the actual consent form 1229 has to be signed and certified in front of a solicitor or whether it is just the proof of identity - ie the passport of the parents/childs birth certificate. Thanks
  4. Thanks kezzles. Kind of what I suspected, don't think there is another occupation I could go for as so obviously a specialist in marketing! Am surprised they didn't accept a post grad though...ah well I suppose I need to go away and look at the financials on the 457, school fees in nsw make the cost of living so high.. Hope your application goes well
  5. Hi I have a chance of a visa under the Employer Nomination scheme, which would be more financially viable for me than the 457 due to school fees. I am thinking of completing a VETASSESS assessment under Marketing Specialist. I have 15 years experience in marketing/marketing management/consultancy, am a chartered marketer in the UK and have evidence of continuing professional development, with awards in digital marketing. However, I don't have a traditional degree. Instead I have a professional diploma awarded by the Chartered Institute of Marketing which in the UK is considered a level 6 qualification equivalent to a Hons Degree. I am worried that this won't meet the qualification requirements although, Does anyone know if this will be accepted as equivalent to an Australian bachelors degree? Thanks
  6. Hi We are looking to move to either the Southern Gold Coast or Sydney next year on a 457 visa. My daughter is currently 13 and plays for Manchester City Football Club and for Greater Manchester. Has anybody got experience or know of anybody who was playing at a high level in the Uk and has experienced the quality of the football in Australia? We have spoken to a couple of teams/coaches in both areas who feel that the quality is of a high/comparable standard but she is still worried. If there are any girls who are currently playing football in Australia it would be good to hear from them Thanks
