  2. Hi all, I'm currently working as a multi-skilled engineer ,with electrical bias, for a large UK brand in a food manufacturing environment. I am a qualified electrician, but, although certified, I have minimal experience with domestic electrical Installations. I have worked as an electrical technician on a wide range of equipment, such as motors and generators in the Royal Air Force, then i became a field service engineer with Siemens, where I was required to maintain single phase equipment and electronic pcb's; I had to fault find and repair to component level. Now I work on all types of automated electrical machines and again repair and fault find to component level. This includes PLC work. In this role I also carry out mechanical work. I would like a similar role in Australia to my current one here. Can anyone please offer guidance with what role from the SOL I should be persuing to ensure i complete the correct skills assessment, and also what is this job is known as in Oz? Thank you very much for any assistance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thank you both for the replies! Really appreciated! I thought 12 months would be the best option, so thanks for all the in depth info Julie. If you don't mind I'll probably contact you nearer the time and see how you're getting on? Thanks again Andy
  4. Hi all, Thanks for taking time to read this. My wife is currently a Student Mental Health nurse in the UK. She has 2 years remaining until qualified. We are desperate to move to Aus, but are worried that if my wife simply completed her degree and moves over then her qualifications may become redundant with no post-graduate experience. Can anyone in the nursing sector clear up how essential this experience is and how likely she would get a job without it? We are looking into moving to Queensland. Many Thanks in advance.
  5. Thank you for all the excellent info! Going to be a massive help when I book mine. Can you please email me the diagram. Ill pm you my email address. Thanks again! Andy
