Hey guys, I literally have three months to do my fruit picking. I fly to cairns 22nd July. I dont have a car. Where should i head to first on my search. I cant waste to much time as i literally giving myself three months to get the work done. Also will it be best to just rock up at a farm or ring before hand?! Please help!!! :confused:maylw05

Mine took 3 months. I was told by visafirst there was nothing they could do and that they just refuse some people for no reason. Im a nurse too and passed my medical. Im in sydney now, happy as can be. But i do remember waiting anxiously for my visa to come through. Best of luck!!!

Iv no preference where i go to do regional,i suppose the weather would be nicer in queensland though. Getting very cold here in sydney!! Its such a weight off when you get your bank account and tax file number sorted. Iv heard alot of people saying you just have to rock up to the farms and there is no point in trying to contact them before hand. I hope this isnt the case. Iv literally got to be started by august so il know im going to be panicing in july!!

Hi, i am working in sydney until end of july. I have to start my regional the first week of august as im running out of time. Do you think there would be work up in cairns at this farm in august. I am female, mid tweenties, a registered nurse. I am hard working, reliable and up for a challenge. I dont mind what kind of work i do. 25dollars an hour and free accomodation sound really good though
