  1. My Wife and I are finally making the move to Australia in December 2016 after a 2 year detour via Auckland New Zealand. However, we're expect our first child in April and the baby is not included in our 190 Visa, what do we do? any suggestion? Merry Christmas everyone. Brian
  2. It it has been really slow this week, I thought it was my week for sure..
  3. No worries Steve, so when is the planned move. I am getting more nervous & excited as the tracker draws closer to my name. I lived in Australia back in 2007 and moved back to Ireland in the Oct of that year, right at the start of the recession. There was no jobs in my chosen field, so I came to UK to train to become a Design Technology teacher and ended up staying nearly 5 years, as I met my better half. I have had itchy feet since I left Australia and have been looking at ways to get back to Australia. So I know your pain. I bet your stoked. I am hoping to move to Melbourne in January. Runner? I use to be back in the day, if you mean athletics. But my football career took over and that's what brought me to Australia the first time. Where are you heading to yourself?
  4. That makes two of us lol.. I am still waiting, lodge my applications on the 31st. It's exciting though. Steve great see another man on here too..
  5. You will need an educational psychologist to prove that you're dyslexic. He/She will conduct a number tests and analyse the results. I was lucky I obtained my test through my University. They'll provide you with a letter recommending what special arrangements need to be taken when taking part in any exam. I contacted my local IELTS test centre and explained my situation and provided them with the proof I.e the letter of recommendations. I got my own test room and 25% extra time. I recommend buying old exam papers and practice every evening two weeks prior to the exam also.
  6. Cheers I obtained a level 8 over all.. moving to Australia in January
  7. Applied for our 190 visa to victoria on the 31st of July. Just waiting on a case worker to be allocated. Added my details to the data sheet. Just realised when our agent actually applied we were in Australia on holidays and the gave us a bridging visa to stay in Australia until our 190 has been approved. Will this affect our application, Now we're back in the UK?
  8. Hi Everyone, I'm Irish and a secondary school Design and Technology Teacher in the UK for 2 years now. I've dyslexia and struggle sometimes with my writing and spellings. Will they take into account my dyslexia or not? I need a final scored of 8 and I'm worried I won't achieve because of my dyslexia. Thanks, Brian
  9. Hi Everyone, My partner and I are moving to Melbourne in 2015 and we've started our visa application form for emigration to Melbourne, Australia. I lived there back in 2007 on a work holiday visa. We’re getting really excited about the move. We’re hoping to live near the coast and we’re wondering can anyone recommend an area to look at? Also what’s Australia like to teach in? My partner teaches Spanish and French, while I teach Design and Technology “Resistant Materials, Electronics and Product Design” what’s the teaching jobs situationlike? Hope you can help  Thanks Brian :ssign17: (An Irish man after an easier liftstyle and sunshine)
