  1. Sorry, foolish question - what does PR stand for? That would obviosuly be the best situation and it may be easier for me to get my Marketing role if I'm over there and competing in the job market. Thanks again for you brilliant help.
  2. Hi all and thanks for the welcome! Thanks for the heads up although 'Marketing Specialist' appears on the CSOL, however most visas only seem to be interested in the SOL if you are going over without a job offer. So from previous comments could I be right in thinking that she could use her qualifications to go over on an indipendant visa and then try something else when we get there?
  3. Hello everyone! I have only recently stumbled on this site as even though emigration has been on the cards for years Australia was not on my radar. Not because it's not a stunning country (I loved Sydney and Cairns), but because my parents, brother and sister moved to New Zealand 5 years ago. For this reason I'd always looked there for a future. However, last year they closed the family visa type so my non-work based route in was out. My job is good but Marketing isn't in high demand in NZ! So I began looking at OZ, after all it's closer to my family than the UK (where I remain) and the jobs market and larger companies mean Marketing roles are in slightly higher demand. My girlfriend is a nurse and even though this would be a fairly good entry into either country on an indipendant application she hates it and our first plan is to go through on my application rather than take the easy route. The whole process so far has caused a few arguments. I'm applying for jobs in OZ but I'm concerned that me not bing ready for interviews may be hampering my progress, however we can't quite afford for me to fly out and stay for a while to try and get some interviews. Anyway, enough about me! I will be using this forum a lot to try and get help in how to get a job offer so I can apply for an ENS, even though I'm in a fairly fluffy job and still in the UK!! Speak soon, Nite
