Hello, i was wandering if anyone knows if employers are obliged to make a contribution toward relocation costs? I could have swore I read somewhere that they had a responsibility to help you with shipping costs etc... i was told recently that my new employer will not help me with anything. Again, this is very interesting as the company I will be working for has only asked for my passport and their internal application form. I am still waiting to hear back from them so maybe I will need to provide my birth certificate too.

I am currently awaiting nomination by the company I will be working for, then once I have been given the nod, I will apply. I am hoping they will provide guidance on this. Hello, I am emigrating to Australia in the coming months and cannot get over to look at places to live and it seems that Altona looks reasonably priced for its seaside location. I have been told that it is quite an industrial place though. Does anyone know how industrial and if it is a nice enough place to live? Any advice would be much appreciated. thank you
