  1. Hey, yes, the living cost depend on the lifestyle. But I guess that an average single person would spend around 2.000 AUD per month wich would also include holidays, going out, a car etc. You could survive with much less, if you share an appartment, don't have a car and don't spend much money on alcohol and party. And if furniture is expensive, you could look for a furnished flat or room. Or you have a look on gumtree and buy furniture second hand. You don't need much money to get what you need and have a good time Cheers
  2. In Perth you def. earn more money and the job situation is better but Brisbane is just so much closer to different cities and nice highlights (Gold Coast, Noosa, Byron Bay, Sydney, Nightcap National Park etc.). WA is great for holidays but for living I would always prefer the east coast. Good Luck!
  3. Very interesting. I also think that you get what you pay for and especilly if it's about sending your private things I would not take care too much about the money as long as the price is still reasonable.
  4. Hi, Emirates is a very good airline with a better reputation than Qantas and also a very good service. But also Qantas should be fine. I did fly with Jetstar (Jetstar belongs to Qantas) and was very happy with everything.
  5. Hello Andy, I can help you with your question and give you maybe a few extra information. You can't buy the nomral myki cards at the Tullamarine Airport but they offer the so called "visitors' pack" at the Skybus booth. I found this information on a german article about public transport in Meloburne and also had a quick look for the official website. With the pack you can use all trains, busses and trams that run under PTV (Private Transport Victroia). Here you can also find the article about the myki Visitor Pack on the officla myki website: http://www.myki.com.au/About-myki/myki-visitor-pack I wish you have a very nice holiday and a good time! Cheers Piadu
