su;1936473063]Waseem. Howz your job scene in Australia? Hey btw did they ask for your police check for sub 100? I didn't get any thing from immi, I just applied using the docs that were online. I haven't got job yet Me too didn't get anything from immigration. Just like you, I had submitted documents on my own when I became eligible for consideration of visa 100. Didn't submit police check nor they asked me for. In my case, it took 2 months approx. However the average processing time is 6 to 8 months. Hopefully you will get soon.

I am already in Australia. Previously I was on subclass 309 and now granted sub class 100 ( permanent resident) . Time for first entry to Australia is usually the date of expiry of your medicals or police checks whichever is earlier.

Bro, time for assesement of PR is 2 years after DOL of 309 . They send you forms/ask for any info 2 months earlier to that. You will be applying for PR in Feb 2014 and the timeline for getting Visa 100 is 8 months for Pakistanis. Provided you have been granted the 309 visa and you utilized it by entering Australia within the initial entry date specified. Then in Feb 2014 you will apply for that IA.

Principly they should send the application back from where they had received I.e Melbourne. But as the applicant (your wife) is in Pakistan, it is probable that they send the application to the applicant. Also they tend to communicate with applicant Not sponsor. However in that case your wife would have received it in a day or two. So you can just wait n see where you receive it. In case your wife gets it, she will have to reapply through AVAC.

[QUFirstKnight;1936242285]Well my 14 months are completed on June 10th and as per my CO my security checks were started in June 2012 so hope SC will be completed in this month ,,,,, hmmm i also read it somewhere that they issue visas according to territory like if some one is moving where migrants are less they grant visa soon ,,, they have certain numbers to locate in states like NSW,SA ... well i am moving to Sydney and it is already crowded with immigrants hope thats not the case and we get it soon The official website states "there is no formal agreement between ASIO snd DIAC regarding time frame of security checks for temporary and permanent resident visas" So nobody knows when they will complete the checks and give their assessment report to AHC. After then DIAC will make decision and grant visa keeping in view the locality and planning. .so that can depend on yearly quota..but completion of security checks by ASIO has nothing to do with financial year or quota..It's not their business. .they just have have to give their assessment. So I am sure that chances of getting security checks complete remains the same whether it is june or July
