I haven't been to Melbourne ever haha. living in Perth wa for the last 4 years and looking for a change. Would love to spend more on a house and live closer to everything but stamp duty is to much for me at the moment.

So i have managed to narrow my search down to these two places. can anyone advise on me on the positive and negatives of each place please for a family with one 5 year old child. Also an idea of commute time to cbd for a tradie starting work around 6.30 to 7 am. thanks stephen

Me this missus and 6 year old kid are moving to melbourne in jan. missus has employment in mulgrave and i will likely be in the cbd so looking for suggestions of places to live renting at first and then looking to buy with a budget of between 700k -900k. any help would be greatly appreciated as there are so many option:err:

Hi all As the title says we are looking for a family in the same position as us who need accomodation when they first arrive for a month or two from mid october. we would be looking to rent an entire home and basicly just split the bills with the other couple meaning both paties would save alot of money and take some of the stress out of having to rush aroundlooking for a rental as soon as we both arrive. Im 30 my gfriend is 29 and our daughter is 1 1/2 we live in glasgow at the moment but cant wait to get out to aus and start our new life.
