  1. Yes OH has no surviving relatives at all - we are aged 40 and 36
  2. I think 'lucky' is a matter of opinion considering the length of wait we have had so far and potentially still have for me to be with what's left of our family
  3. Hi everyone! - just looking for some advice / experience! Have a queuing date of 9th August 2012 for Remaing Relative visa- have been advised by immi that currently processing June 2011 anyone have a queuing date anywhere near mine and can give me any idea of how many years I am looking at left to wait? - immi can't confirm how many people in queue before my number is up for release and the waiting is killing me- this is our only option into Australia - all my family are there and are now citizens they have been there so long - visas granted in this category were slashed just before we submitted and wait went from 2 years to god knows how long - any advice or comments would be very gratefully received, our life is completely on hold with the prospect we will get there one day but with 2 young children we are trying to get there before eldest hits secondary education. Thanks in advance, Clare
  4. Hi just to update on my previous timeline, we are now sitting at 12.5 weeks!!! With our status saying application being processed further however the sponsored job is a business/ resturant manager and they are currently revising the policies for this business area, we are also moving to Perth but the office dealing with our application is Melbourne as that's where head office is I Think and they have had a huge backlog, anyone with any experiences of sponsored jobs in the hospitality to sector or with a processing time as long as ours please get in touch! Well and truly at the end of our tether now
  5. Thought I would share our timeline to see if anyone else has heard anything more on their application based out of the Melbourne office have been advised that the processing standard times have gone out the window due to huge influx in applications for 457 in June in order to get in before the 1st July changes 27/5 application received and processing commenced 27/5 application fee received 4/7 further information received from MA 18/7 application processed further nothing heard since!!!!!! we are now sitting at 9.5 weeks and am from low risk country with no medical required as far as we are aware. Have been advised by immi that priority processing given to doctors and nurses applications ( which isn't us) anyone have a similar time line or application date? Finding it impossible to find out how much longer we are likely to have to wait for grant. Any info or experiences would very appreciated!!!!!
