  1. I would do the course. I've found that further education on top of your degree is highly regarded here. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  2. Has your husband had any luck yet? I'm guessing that he's getting job alerts from the government job sites? I know you have ideas about where you would ideally like to go but would you consider regional to get your foot in the door? I'm a community psychiatric nurse by the way Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  3. I don't have any family at all and I think it's made it harder for me. I feel like I don't have a home any more as home was always where my parents were. I can't call them if I'm having a rough time and if something bad were to happen I don't know who I could rely on. Having to put a friend down as next of kin on forms always feels a bit sad Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  4. I signed a year lease on my house so stuck here til around September. Gonna start looking for jobs by the coast in seventeen weeks, not that I'm counting ? Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  5. It's a bit under a six hour drive for me to get to the coast. I think Wollongong is the closest coast to me Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  6. At least you're not in rural NSW. I'm bored as hell, only my dog to talk to most of the time, I hate my job but I can't afford to move yet. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  7. It's my understanding that the academic is more difficult. The general one is pretty hard for native speakers in itself. I got pr as a nurse and did the general just for points. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  8. It's a personal choice. Only you will know if you will regret not going. I lost my dad a few weeks after arriving last year and couldn't go to the funeral. I sent a floral tribute but looking back I wish I had found a way to go as I am struggling to accept that he is gone. Maybe you could have a memorial here? Spend a little time talking to those who knew her etc. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk

    Stay or go

Why not give it a go, life is short and you can always go back if you don't like it. It is hard doing this alone. I don't have any family or partner and I'm the wrong side of forty. But I didn't want to regret not giving it a go. Probably made a bit of a mistake going rural but I can always move to the coast later on. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk

    Hello

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I'll see if I can find the answers to my many questions in the nurses thread but will certainly be asking several questions so thanks in advance for your help

Hello, new mental health nurse, been hoping to move to Oz for a long time and currently in the process of confusing myself with how to do it as soon as possible
