Hi guys, just a quick question. I've got a 176 visa (permanent resident) but the visa itself will be due for renewal in a while (not until July 2016 actually). I came in as the spouse of my now ex partner. Can I renew the visa? If so how do I do it? Will I be man-handled onto the first available flight back to the UK? I'd really rather stay if I can. Also, my passport is due for renewal, what happens with the visa itself i.e. will I need to show both the new passport and the old one containing the visa? Many thanks in advance. Alan

Hi, that sounds interesting. My computer skills are reasonable. I've got an MSc in Business I.T. Systems from Strathclyde Uni and I'm an approved marker for the ECDL. European Computer Driving License. But...I've got no maths or calculus or anything like that so I can't program. Got no idea about programming and Im not in any way creative so can't design either :-/ But I'd definitely like to know more. Really really appreciate the offer. Om nearly 50. None of that has ever worked. None of it. Ive never had a job out of a paper I have daily alerts from seek and all the major job sites. The problem is: I have no skills. Nothing to sell. If I were a plumber or electrician I'd never be out of work. But I'm not so I am. That's just reality. I want to get skills by going to Uni but that route is closed. I'm out of ideas.

Eh? Sorry, I'm lost. What positive action Tink? This iscall stuff I've been doing all my life and norhing has worked out.

Why does everyone think I don't think positively? I want to go to Uni but I can't afford to. Want a job but even though I try I can't get one. Oh yes I try every day. I do persevere - partly why I started this thread. I attend my employment consultant every week. I do all the things I'm supposed to. I look, I hope. Nothing ever changes.
