  1. ASPD is on a spectrum and people with this will have normally had Conduct disorder as children. I have worked with a few people with this diagnosis and they have all been very different. With ASPD people normally interpret others as threatening so are defensive. There are normally other mental health issues co morbid with ASPD. The evidence for treatment is not that great but treatment options are available. As with other PD's its highly stigmatising and difficult for people to manage their emotions & behaviour.
  2. Hi Guys, Im moving UK to Melbourne around May 17. Can you tell me the size of a container by comparing it to something please? I don't understand your calculations! Thanks so much
  3. Another tip I would give is, if you're applying through the NHS website apply as soon as you see the jobs. What's happening is there are so many applicants that managers are pulling off the posts once they have got say 80 applicants. I've been on panels where that number has been reached within a couple of days. Once you fill in the application on the NHS site you can fire it in for other jobs just changing a few points relevant to the post. Its really difficult to short list so many applicants and the standards are high. Make your application shine!!!! Good luck guys:)
  4. Hi, I'm presently working in the mental health field as a band 7 manager. To be honest its pretty bad. Lots of cuts, re banding, most band 6 jobs are cut to band 5. Don't know about the private sector. Wards are stretched, less qualified, lots of assistant practitioner's (Band 4 - can do most things a nurse can except dispense drugs) and support workers (Band 2 & 3). I hope you get jobs, but you will probably start band 5. Hope I'm wrong - good luck and sorry to sound so negative, I love nursing and the NHS, but it is in a big mess. How have you found it in OZ?
