  1. Just dropping in to say, that after a battle of wills, (one which they brought a spoon to a gunfight, ) they have paid out our claim in it's entirety. Unfortunately we could not claim for the MASSIVE sentimental value of some of the items they broke/lost.
  2. Replied to two more PMs, sorry for any delay in responding.
  3. They seem to be losing the will to take us on now. My wife spend her working life as a Ministerial adviser to the ACT Govt. I spent my life working in mental health crisis teams, we're not to be trifled with in a battle of wills.
  4. Thanks to all the others who have PM'd me asking for details, I hope I have replied to you all, if not please PM me again!!
  5. That's so kind of you mate! I have already been given one by a neighbour thanks, but your offer is very much appreciated.
  6. Thanks for the responses guys and gals, we're very very peed off with the company involved.
  7. Try this one! https://photos.app.goo.gl/rqaDPqGY2Dzk3JBJ7 Original link edited
  8. Have a look at this Also, they lost 8 boxes of our stuff, including the box with my wife's wedding dress in it. They also delivered two boxes of other people's items, (which we returned.) PM me if you want to avoid this company!
  9. Sorry for the late reply Sarah, have PM'd you.
  10. Having returned to the UK from Canberra, we had to have all our personal belongings in storage for some time, due to house renovations. Our shipping was done by a Sydney based company On receiving our goods, we have found that many items are broken, and several boxes missing. They have been particularly bad at communicating and seem to have washed their hands of us. Would NOT recommend them. PM for details
  11. Moved back to deepest Cornwall in January just in time for the snow. Our dogs followed in Feb, wife in March. At present we're living in a campervan, while our house is being extensively rebuilt. Great to be part of a community / village again, great catching up with friends. Loving showing my Aussie wife her new home country. We're taking the campervan on tour soon, heading off for a couple of weeks, then house sitting for mates in N Devon. Retired life is the canine's genitals.
  12. You have to ask? PB's role here is to try and spread his misery as far as possible.
  13. I'm sure Perth found you the life and soul of the party!!!! It's your personality that's the problem, not Perth.
  14. 1) Cultural identity, I miss the wilder areas of Devon and Cornwall, (not to mention N Wales and other remote places,) and feel an affinity with them. 2) I miss my friends and family, (in that order.) I miss my social life, good beer and good pubs. 3) The weather, I prefer the UK weather, especially when it's at its worse.
