  1. Do we need to have documents certified before uploading for 187 visa application or can plain color scans of the original documents accepted by DIBP?
  2. We're on the same problem. Employer forgot to comply with training benchmark for this financial year. We are gathering our documents for the transition stream. Can employer contribute 2% now for the financial year that just ended(1 July 2013 to 30 June 2014)? Employer said they are going to do this but I don't know if this is acceptable to DIBP?
  3. My whole family was granted a 457 in 2012. Now we have a newborn baby who was born outside Australia and when I tried to lodge his 457 visa application online it says we have to pay $900 for his visa. Is this right? I thought dependents under 18 yo pay only $225? My son is only 1 month old. Also does he need to undergo medicals?
  4. My husband holds a 457 visa and been working for employer for 2 months only. We are planning to apply for RSMS direct entry stream and would like to know if we can claim exemption from taking the IELTS. His position is a Pig Farmer and we are from the Philippines. We got our 457 without having to take the IELTS and we are wondering if we apply for RSMS Direct entry stream we can still claim exemption by providing school certification of 5 years study done in English language medium. Also which is easier ENS or RSMS? The employer is in regional Australia.
  5. Hi! I would like to know how you got your CO's email address? I know that being with an agent CO gives their contact details to the agent. I would like to contact CO to clarify about the status of my meds which has been stuck to "health requirements outstanding" eventhough HOC confirmed it was finalised a long time ago. I emailed my agent to clarify this with CO but my agent has not been replying to my email so I planned to contact CO myself. How can I get the contact details of my CO?
  6. Hi! how did you send the certified copy of your passport? was it uploaded on the DIAC site or did you send it direct by email to your CO? I uploaded the additional requested docs on 10 May at DIAC site but until now no news from the CO. I don't know if CO got it but when I checked the DIAc site, it shows that it has been uploaded.
  7. My online status states that my meds have been finalised while my dependents are outstanding. I contacted HOC and they confirmed that my dependents meds are already finalised a long time ago since we did meds before our 457 visa application was lodged. I am worried that CO may not have picked up on my dependents meds being finalised already and have only picked up on my meds as finalised. We have provided the request ID given by HOC to locate our meds when we lodged our 457 application and I am sure CO received the request ID since CO updated my online status as meds finalised but have not updated my dependents meds status. Are online status updated or is it normal that CO does not update meds status even if they have already been finalised? It has already been 3 weeks since lodgement and have no update in my online status regarding my dependents meds. I am worried CO may be waiting for my dependents meds to be finalised that is why Co has not made a decision yet. I have an agent but I have not received any reply from them regarding my inquiry. I do not have my CO contact details so I cannot ask the CO directly to clarify on the meds status. Should I be worried that my dependents meds are still outstanding in my online status?
  8. Our online status states: 30 April 2012 application received 09 May 2012 application being processed further Primary applicant: 09 May 2012 further info requested (medicals and ceritifed copies of passports and birth certificates were requested, uploaded 10 May 2012) 10 May 2012 Health requirements finalised 10 Oct 2011 medicals received (we did our medicals in 2011 intended for a PR application but PR nomination was refused that is why we are gioing through the 457 route) dependents 30 April 2012 Health requirements outstanding I emailed HOC asking status of medical of my dependents and they replied all our health results has already been assessed and finalised. How come my online status indicates my dependents medicals are outstanding when it has already been finalised before we even lodge the 457 application? The CO was provided with the ID numbers from HOC to locate the results and obviously he was able to locate my result. Should I be worried that CO did not update the status of my dependents medicals?
  9. In our country, Notary Publics are the person authorized to certify documents as true copy. It depends on the laws of your country as to who is legally authorized to certify documents as true copy such as solicitors, justice of peace, notary publics, etc.)
  10. I don't know who my case officer is because I have an agent appointed by my employer. I emailed my agent to ask clarification but have not receive a reply from them either.
  11. We were also asked for certified copies of passports. Uploaded the requested certified copies of passports a week ago but still have not heard anything. Online status has not changed since 10 May 2012.
  12. We had our medicals done 6 months ago. We lodged our 457 30 April 2012. My online status states that my health requirements were already finalised but my wife and daughter still states health requirements outstanding. I do not know why as the medicals were done 6 months ago they should have been finalised way before we lodged our 457. I sent an email to HOC yesterday asking for clarification but have not received a reply yet.
  13. Do you still have the password you used? you can still attach documents post lodgement but you need the password used. Just go to attach documents, enter the TRN number, birthdate and password and it will open to a page where you can attach the documents
  14. Congrats...did your partners's online status change from received to finalised or did it go directly from received to visa approved?
  15. I think they only give you the reference number if you had your medicals prior to lodging the visa application. I got my reference number when I emailed Health Operations Centre to ask for approval to resuse my medicals which was done 6 months prior to lodging my 457. HOC gave me the reference number to provide to the CO so the CO can locate my previous health results. But you can email HOC and ask if they can give you the reference ID. They don't normally give this to those who did medicals after lodgement as the results are automatically linked to your application once HOC receives the results.
