    Yes, I've declared it because I was going for citizenship and wanted to do everything by the book. Ofcourse now I can't backtrack so I'm wondering about the first property requirements for exemption on stamp duty.

    Hi I feel silly asking this but might need to move back to Scotland in the next 3 months at this short notice. My son is about to start 4 year old kinder in Melbourne but would only doing the first term and moving to scotland and starting school there in August. Is there anything I need to do for him to get into school or even last few months of a nursery in UK as he has never lived there? Do I need to be resident for tax purposes etc? I'm hoping using my in laws adress he would get into the local school.

    Hi Can anyone help with where I should look first for shipping companies for Melbourne to UK please to help save time and avoid using ones that are not recommended? I think PSS is only UK to Aus. I Would only be sending over stuff like kids toys and clothes and the odd thing in with it so wed probably be using a move cube I have seen people mention on here. Thanks in advance. David

    Thanks for the reply. It would be too stressful for us to go back as soon as August to make it in time for the start of school there.

    Hi We have been considering moving back to scotland at some point but now thinking we should do it before my son starts school. Our son is due to start school in jan 2023 in Australia but if he was in Scotland it would be August 2022. If he starts school here, I am worried either way he is going to miss a half year of school once we move back because of the difference. Has anyone moved back to UK and found it difficult if their child had already started school?

    When I applied for my PR I declared my convictions. When i am ready to apply for citizenship next year i will declare again, i have had no new convictions since I have been PR but may they reject me for citizenship ?
