True VERYSTORMY..... i have a good job and a relatively small mortgage.....a very big gamble in my eyes

Personally I think it's a massive risk to give up everything and move to the otherwise of the world without having secured a job before I left........

Hi all, I land in Perth early hours of Boxing Day. Can anyone recommend a cheapish (I know prices will be higher due to the time of year) hotel or similar with a free pick up from the airport or somewhere not far from the airport as after nearly 25hours travelling all I'll wanna do is crash! Thanks for any info. I'll be in Perth for around 5 days so I'll probably stay in a couple of places...... :biggrin:

Hi all, I'm using my New Year trip as a reccie to see which areas of Australia I like the feel of and have 3 days in Adelaide before getting the train to Melbourne then onward to Brisbane. I know the visits are brief; but what can you recommend that I see / do in Adelaide that will give me the best experience? Thanks for any comments and ideas! Alli x

Hi all, Just a query as in a quandry..... Have started gathering the docs to register with NZ Nursing council (IELTS complete; police checks done; transcript from NMC) but am going to Australia later in the year for a good look around as I have, for ages, been in two minds about which country to go for! If I do get NZ reg and then I decide on going to Oz instead, can I transfer it across? OR which is the easiest to get initially to then transfer under trans-tasman or whatever it is?? I've been reading that when you get Oz reg you have to present in person at an office to complete the process; this is something I could do on my visit I guess? Does that make sense? Any advice welcomed

Gotta make the most of it while you're there! I'm there 'only' 3 weeks so you could definitely fit it in!!!

Exciting! Im flying 24th dec and going to Perth, Sydney for new year, Adelaide, Melbourne then a week in Brisbane. A right wander about eh!!

Hi, mine came back in the post today. I had an email acknowledging the receipt of the application on Monday 12th saying the form arrived on the 8th. Very fast turnaround IMO.

Same here.........one minute I want to go....next not!!!! Am quite comfortable here and can afford weekends away......good standard of living etc; and wonder whether to risk it by emigrating and having to start again and be more isolated than I am now!!!!
