1. Hi Katy, So sorry to hear the news of your son. Best of luck with the self pack. We hope to do the came ourselves come our exit in June. All the best and God bless.
2. Hi there, can I get more info on this please. City of employment, city in Ireland you will be interviewing, what is ENS ? Thanks
3. Have you considered Post? Here in Ireland, we can send 20kg for €60 (£50). It's quite cheap and is registered
4. Nice - that is good info there. I'm going to look further into that. Best wishes with the trip and hope it all goes well.
5. True, but what if there isn't enough demand in our area to combine a shared container at one time. Then we have to pay for the full 40ft even if we only fill say 30ft. If I can gather a group by offering the service in our area then hopefully we can help each other out. I will also look into Masons and PPS for shipping quotes, thanks alot.
6. Just a small bump on this.We are STILL living in Ireland We will be organising to send the container Oct/Nov/Dec 2013 destination Melbourne. If interested in working with us to bring all our costs down, get in touch.
7. what are the proper certificates you need to get a job in childcare
8. I appreciate what you are saying M2M but it wouldn't be private. I would hope to get a small group all going to the one city and organising with Careline to divide up the cost of the container between us. I would be merely suggesting to others that it could work out cheaper in the long run to bring your belongings with you as opposed to selling them in Ireland and buying again in (expensive) Australia. Taking 4 square foot of a container my only cost about €750 as opposed to just bringing the shirt on your back!
9. Just throwing it out there: http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/transport-shipping/141851-shared-40-foot-container-ireland-melbourne-winter-2012-a.html#post1348413 Hi guys, We are heading to Melbourne Nov/Dec this year and will be bringing belongings and a car with us. I'm considering using Careline whom are very reputable. 20ft is circa €4500 and 40ft is circa €7000 (plus insurance plus customs). 6-8 weeks sailing time. Careline have depots nationwide but I'd be using Limerick. Just putting it out there. Even if you only had a few boxes it could save you money and in turn us money! Let me know your interest. Kieran

11. Oldmarried - Thank you for your two cents! It has really changed my outlook on things. Any reccomendation on a company yourself? @Kianobeano - Melbourne to Perth is like from here to New York so I don't think sharing will work. I think its a good idea. Oldmarried seems to know the ins and outs of the shipping game, would appreciate his/her opinion on it...?
12. Thats good info that I was unaware of. Thanks. Thing is, I would be far more comfortable and would have no problem with packing my own stuff and getting it to the container in Dublin and would be very minimal cost to be with access to a van and packing consumables. Why would I need door to door insurance as opposed to just insurance whilst its locked in a container? Excuse my ignorance but can you collect your stuff from the port or what is the common practice? What are peoples opinions on sharing containers?
13. Hi folks, I'm based in Limerick. I started looking into this today. I need a car and a few boxes brought to Melbourne. After a google search it returned a few. I have recieved a very good quote from: AA Economy Freight Worldwide Unit C, Furry Park Industrial Estate, Santry, Dublin 9, Ireland. T: +353 1 8527100 (multiple lines) F: +353 1 8527102 E: quotes@aaeconomyfreight.com W: www.aaeconomyfreight.com They returned with this quote which I think is very reasonable:

Container Shipping

Origin / Destination From our Dublin 9 Warehouse to Melbourne, Australia. 14. Great info there lad. No doubt I have a heap of questions waiting to come out but just cant think of any. il have a read of the previous link when I have free time and go from them. Cheers....
15. Are the same costs involved though? Does it work out cheaper or dearer? And also....am I wrong in thinking that next year it will be pre 1990 cars, the following pre 1991 cars and so on? Just want to be clear on that as I have 2 other projects that are 1990 and 1991......
