We've moved to Cleveland last month from Scotland and I'v got to say i absolutely love it and we will defo settle in this suburb. There are a lot of medical practices in Cleveland so I'm looking for any recommendations for a good, thorough doctor. My wee boy has asthma so I would really like to find a doctor i can rely on to treat him properly. Any thoughts on the subject would be very much appreciated. Cheers x

We're flying into Brisbane airport at 0050 on a saturday morning and wanted to have a hire car booked from this end. my problem is however, i cant find anywhere open at that time in the morning with most of them closing at 12. I reckon by the time we get through immigration and stuff it'l b bout 0200. Has anyone used a rental company at that time of morn?

Hi just wondering if anyone has any idea how long it takes to get ur registration finalised once in Australia? I was granted my eligible for nursing registration letter a few months ago and I know to finalise the process i need to attend their office in Brisbane to confirm my identification and to have my criminal history check done. We leave in November and I obviously can't work until I have my reg so wondered if anyone has successfully completed the process this way and how long it took. Cheers

Thanks for your kind words Gill. I do try to stay positive but sometimes its hard especially when they change the goal posts so often! I'll just have to hope that in a couple of years time things have changed for the better for us (either that or we win the lottery!!!!) Thanks again :wubclub: x

Well i fell utterly dispondent now after reading some of the posts on this thread! This thread has some very useful information albeit some that i'd rather not be true! We'v recently been granted our 175 visa and had hoped for my parents to eventually join us but this is looking less and less likely. There is no way they can afford the fee for the CPV especially if the fee is hiked up in July and now it looks like it will take about 20 years for a non CPV to be granted!!! Its just so unfair. I desperately want my parents with me and my family but just can't see any way round it:cry:

Has anyone recently had any probs with their nursing board accepting the forwarded documents from the ANMC? I'm just about the apply for registration with QNC and ask ANMC to forward on my documents but wanted to make sure that this was still ok to do. Cheers Laura
