Hi Does anyone know a good mortgage broker to help organise a home for when we return to the UK? I read somewhere that we need the offer of employment and a deposit. We don’t need 6 months pay slips like in Australia? Is this correct?

Hi, ive been in Australia for 10 years now and feel it’s time to go home. Over my time here I’ve had ups and downs of homesickness but this last year has been the worst! So decided to make the decision to move back. I just don’t know where to begin. The whole process seems so much harder than coming out here. I’ve read that due to not having a credit history we would need to pay 6 months up front in rent. Is this accurate? We don’t have a lot of money behind us and just not sure how we are going to manage the whole move back which makes it even more depressing. I have 4 children, one that starts year 11 in September. I’ve read posts saying get them back for GCSE’s but we just don’t have the money right now! We need to save for a year or so to get us there. Which means would I have to stay to put my other child through school first? I’m in such a terrible predicament and not sure where to begin. Any help greatly appreciated

Hi I am in the process of organising a move back to the UK. I have to go back to organise work which will therefore put my move back by at least 2 more years due to finances and jobs. I will have a son going into year 11 at this point. Just wondering could he apply for 6th form if we try and aim to get him back for year 12 or would his ATAR not transfer over? I would also have a year 9 student. Any help greatly appreciated

No nothing for us... still waiting in France in the cold snow <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/ohmy.png" alt=":o" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/ohmy@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />( We were told that our application would not be looked at until 2012 now due to the priorities changing in the DIAC, however, they have just started to process some of the visas again in our category so just waiting and hoping!</p>

<p>I dont mind you asking questions, they did ask us how much funds we have and qualifications. They asked why we chose Brisbane, I cant really remember the rest but they never came back for anything further. I have seen a few people attached stuff like travel tickets, research they have done. We just filled in a small amount of information so dont worry I am sure you will be fine. : ) Carly xxx</p>

We have seen recently that the SS forms have changed and they are now asking for more information, such as proof of funds, qualifications and stuff like that. Have QLD ask you for any of this when you applied to them for SS? Did they come back to you at all asking for further information?</p>

<p>Things are ok, still waiting and waiting...We sent off for a 176 at the end of Feb and we should find out at the end of April if we get it.....So we are just sitting tight to see what they say. What is your job again? Lee is a fitter so we are lucky that they are sponsoring them still. Apparently they are sponsoring 800 less a month thats what my hubby heard...I am starting to worry a bit now..How about you? It is a big worry as we have sold our house and moved into my parents to save some money and just waiting to get our visa and then we should be on our way..xxxxxxxxx</p>
